EXCELLENT multi-purpose balm!
Iโve loved and used this stuff for years, it really is magic and lives up to its name. I use this on its own as a moisturizer and itโs safe enough for my to dab onto my lashes and use on my eye area. I swear it helps my lashes and brows grow in a bit thicker, and I even use it on my hairline to enhance growth/strengthen baby hairs. It also evens out my complexion QUICKLY - helps reduce redness and helps neutralize discoloration somehow. I do not like being without a jar of this stuff. Also works fantastic for light burns/sensitized/sensitive/disrupted skin.

One of my 10 must have items for travel
I can't be without Egyptian Magic daily and especially for travel! Here's what I use it for: smoothing hair, removing makeup (and it can remove ANY), as a base for facial massage, as a base for essential oil massage or medicine. Wonderful product. I don't leave it on my face, though. I apply and wipe it off. Its consistency is like a balm or ointment, which is why it is perfect for use with essential oils for a quick dilution. And, it has clean ingredients and nothing I'm allergic to [Olive oil, beeswax, honey, Royal Jelly, propolis (also made by bees).] It has a very light, very natural smell of oil, which has never been rancid. The best of the natural makeup removers.

Get it.
Is there a grittier texture to this than the older formula? Yes. Does it preform and feel like the same once on your skin? Yes. It is not a bad batch or counterfeit like some people might think. Clearly they have changed the way they mix/make the cream because all of the ingredients are the same. The texture does feel different to the touch, but fine and normal once on your skin. If you have used this cream before, you will definitely feel the texture difference when you touch it, but it's completely the same as the smoother feeling cream and works the same. I was weirded out when I first felt the grittiness, but I kept using it and realized it is fine and the same as before. Also, when I say โgrittinessโ I donโt mean there is grit in it, it just doesnโt feel as smooth as the older version. I have ordered this multiple times and this clearly is how the cream feels now and Iโm fine with it. I have been using this for years and can definitely say this stuff is great, and donโt let the new texture sway you away from buying it.

I can't believe this works for my acne-prone skin
I'm a 24 year old male with oily skin. As a sufferer of acne for many years now - since I started high school - I've tried a number of products and 90% of them have this in common: they dry you out. This is their big "trick" to clearing up your skin, and it makes intuitive sense at first, and it did to me too. "I have oily skin and acne", I thought, "and so if I dry out my skin, my acne will disappear"! Unfortunately, to my surprise, it's not as simple as that. Recently I had a bad fight with an acne flare-up that wouldn't quit. Looking back, it was probably my stupid decision to stop moisturizing altogether that caused it. My sister had given me a sample size of Egyptian Magic, and at the peak of my struggle with nothing to lose, I smeared this evenly over my face one night and hoped I wouldn't be horrified in the morning. But I definitely thought I could be, given that the idea of putting an oily substance on a major-oil-producing face sounded like a recipe for disaster. Somehow I was wrong. I woke up to an immediately obvious reduction in redness. I had had very large, painful, and under-the-skin cystic acne that showed no sign of retreating. Finally, after letting them soak in this stuff overnight, I had seen a glimmer of hope. Over the past month, I've worn this day and night every day. My acne has fully retreated, and I give this stuff a lot of credit. Why? Although putting something like this on a face prone to oil excessive production sounds a bit spooky, I've come to understand that a moisturizer like this can help to regulate the production of oil and actually keep it in check. If I go to sleep at night with no moisturizer on, I wake up with a MUCH oilier face than I do if I sleep in this stuff. This is good stuff. It's a bit too expensive in my opinion, and I want to try out the alternative beeswax product people have mentioned here, but for now I have a full-sized jar of EM to get through. This is a 4-star review only because of the fairly high price and the fact that I do find it leaves your skin a bit too oily in appearance, even after letting it sink in.

Best moisturizer that clean and natural
Best moisturizer thatโs clean, not greasy and great for my acne. Have tried a million moisturizers since a teen due to severe acne from pcos and endo.

Works VERY well for dry skin!
This is really magic and a must buy if you have dry skin or kids. Clears up most dry skin in a matter of a couple of days. Highly recommend!

Actually is magic.
Donโt listen to any bad reviews on this. Donโt buy the cheap one itโs fake! Iโve purchased this a dozen times. I use it for my dogs who tend to get serious wounds galavanting out in their rabbit hunts. It is literally a miracle again and again. I use coconut oil first on them for antibacterial properties and then I use this for an amazing healing salve. A jar lasts forever but I always give them away.

I really wanted to love this stuff
After learning this product existed, I was super stoked to use up my moisturizer at the time so I could order this stuff. The reviews looked promising, and it is comprised mostly of bee-derived ingredients and I'm a sucker for anything made with honey, propolis, and royal jelly. Alas, it was not meant to be. Let me tell you about my skin: oily, but also resilient. I use maximum strength tretinoin on my face 2-3 times a week with no issue on top of salicylic acid, maximum strength vitamin C and so, so many other things. Stuff that breaks other people out or causes rashes, my face can handle no problem. But Egyptian Magic Cream was my skin's kryptonite. It broke me out and I became the proud owner of four bouncing baby blemishes all on my chin after three days of use. I ordered some vitamin C serum that I began using at the same time, so in order to find the real culprit, I stopped the Egyptian Magic Cream for a week and my complexion went back to being clear. Started using it again and I developed two more big fat red zits that will take another week to heal. I may not be a dermatologist, but I can recognize a pattern. I have never been acne prone, not even as a teenager and have never had a product break me out. Aside from this, I also noticed my cheeks looking very reddish and ruddy after using this product, almost like I was blushing. This has never happened to me before. So many people said this was a great product for oily skin, but I found it did not absorb well at all. It just sat on my skin and never soaked in, so every time I touched my face, I'd wind up with oily fingers. People swore up and down it wasn't greasy at all, but it was (I mean, olive oil is the main ingredient). While it does make a very nice lip balm, my face did not like this stuff. I reached out to the folks on Egyptian Magic to find out if maybe something else I was using could be having an interaction or if I was somehow using it incorrectly, but never got a response. I do not agree that this product is the same as Vaseline, though. I saw that in some of the reviews. Vaseline is thick and sticky, but Egyptian Magic Cream is just oil - it's not sticky or tacky and goes on smoothly. Perhaps the folks who felt it was no better than Vaseline received a bad jar? I fully understand that I am in the minority when out of 4,400+ reviews, 70 percent of them are five stars. This stuff just did not play well with my skin, for whatever reason. Maybe it was too rich or my skin just didn't like one of the ingredients, I'll never know. I took a chance on what is obviously a great product and it just didn't work out for me. I never had any reason to believe my skin couldn't handle this stuff, but there you have it. I've seen some folks say it's possible to get a fake product and I'm pretty sure mine is legitimate. I didn't want to give one star because it's nobody's fault this stuff broke me out, and the reviews speak for themselves about how well Egyptian Magic Cream works for others. But let my experience be proof that as hardy as your skin may be, everyone's skin has that one thing they really don't like.

Great for winter & super dry skin only
Great for winter & super dry skin but not in a humid environment. Too oily & sticky.

Too greasy
As a first trial, I used the cream on my chapped and dry hands. Too greasy and doesn't soften the skin. I'm going back to my previous hand cream. I'm glad I bought a small jar, as, for now, I'm not a fan.
