De La Cruz 10% Sulfur Ointment, Cystic Acne Treatment Face & Body 5.5 oz

This product was a great size. I used it right away, now on my third application & seeing results even after one application!! Highly recommend!! It stinks a little of course after washing off but totally worth it. I had stubborn (what may be acne or infection) under my nose for months. This has saved me a trip to the derm!

This is the only face mask I use! I STRUGGLED with cystic acne for my entire middle school and high school years. After hearing about this mask on social media, I thought why not give it a try. LET ME TELL YOU! The BEST and only facial I use now. When I feel or see a pimple coming, I do a facial, sometimes the next day or the day after- that pimple dries up. When I pop a pimple, I sanitize the pimple w rubbing alcohol and then place this mask on for 10 minutes- I found this method affective for my skin and prevents the pimple from coming back or spreading. I know a lot of people are against putting alcohol on your face, but this method works best for my skin/ pimples- may not work for everyone but I love it. Make sure to moisturize your skin after washing off the mask. Yes it smells like eggs, but it does wonders for my acne and that's why I keep repurchasing it! I wish I had a picture of my cystic acne before using this to prove how much this works but I was so self-conscious and deleted all my "bad acne days"

to start, i have always had acne- but i had gotten it under control. unfortunately due to a change in skincare, i developed fungal acne. if you know about fungal acne, you know it’s barely “acne” at all and more of a rash caused by yeast overgrowth. we all have yeast on our skin, but certain ingredients can cause overgrowth. the yeast gets trapped under the skin causing pimple like bumps. they look like hormonal acne, but are itchy and they spread like wildfire. they are also contagious meaning if you do skin to skin with someone who has fungal acne, you may get it too. After weeks of research, i decided sulfur was my best option. which brings me here. I tried this product back in 2016, but the smell was unbearable and i discontinued use. Trying it again in 2024, the smell is no where near as strong. I could only really smell it as i was rinsing. I had to wash twice to remove the smell. I used a (new) makeup brush to apply- it’s pretty thick, and leaves skin slightly greasy (goes away with wash). I recommend putting a cap over your hair while you wait as well. After one use, i obviously don’t see a difference. I have really sensitive skin and this didn’t irritate me at all, sulfur is generally a gentle treatment. I currently have a massive patch of fungal acne on both cheeks and jaw line. I will update results weekly. 7 day update: Today makes a week using this product 1x daily. I honestly have not seen a huge difference. It appears as if the redness is down, but i am still noticing the acne spreading (as fungal does). I am still experiencing mild itching along my jawline. The odor is not nearly as bad as some comment have made it seem. It only really smells once you begin rinsing. I have very sensitive skin & rosacea and this has not irritated that. Today I am adding a zinc bar soap to my regime. I have developed a completely fungal safe skincare routine as of today (was struggling to find moisturizer. went with A’Pieu Madecassoside 2x cream) so hopefully this combination will cure my issues. I will update in another week :) 2 week review: alright. i have to say this did almost nothing for me. it works for some but i needed something i bit stronger. i switched my routine to just the dermaharmony 2% pyrithione zinc face bar + a’pieu moisturizer and have noticed a massive difference. this was doing nothing except stinking.

Life-changing old-school product. I’ve been cursed with adult breakouts and nothing else I’ve ever used has worked from salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide, to prescription meds. It has eliminated 90% of my breakouts and when something pops up this cream keeps it from maturing into something worse and clears it up fast. Can’t say enough good things about this economical and simple product. My only regret is not having discovered it years sooner. Obvs spot test it to see how your skin responds, and I recommend layering a moisturizer over it to minimize drying.

Did not help with my perioral dermatitis, unfortunately. I do still use it as spot treatment on pimples and it helps to dry them out. Stinks like eggs, but that’s normal.

I’ve been very pleased with this De La Cruz 10% Sulfur Ointment. The travel size container is convenient to keep in my purse or take on trips, and a little product goes a long way. I use it as a spot treatment when blemishes appear, and it helps reduce redness and improve the appearance of problem areas overnight. The ointment is easy to apply, and although sulfur has a distinct scent, it’s not overwhelming and fades after use. I appreciate that the formula is simple and effective without a lot of unnecessary ingredients. The compact packaging is sturdy and makes it easy to use without taking up much space. Overall, this is a reliable skincare product that works well for occasional breakouts and is especially handy in a travel friendly size. Great value and definitely something I’ll keep on hand

It doesn’t really help my blackheads, or make a difference in the way my skin looks when I use it as directed. Instead, if I get an angry zit, I put a teeny dab of this on it, just on the zit, and it dries it up pretty fast. I leave it on for a few hours. If you do this, just make sure it’s only on the zit! If you leave this on your face too long it will dry out your skin and make a big red patch that hurts and will take a while to heal. Use just a tiny little dab on only the pimple and it will dry it up.

January 2022 was the first time in my life I had acne and it took me some time to get to know its type. It was fungal acne and with some research on the internet, I found Nizoral shampoo. I used it continuously from February up until March-end. It definitely worked wonders and reduced fungal acne big time but new acnes were still coming every now and then. Again some research on the internet helped me discover De La Cruz's 10% Sulfur Ointment and after a lot of contemplation (as I don't like to use many products on my skin, it's sensitive), I ordered this. It has been close to a week using this and I have observed a significant improvement in my skin. No new acne has appeared so far. It does dry the skin so I have refrained from using it all over my face, instead, I apply it on the acne head.

Excelente producto. Funciona de maravilla, desinflama y ayuda a que se “absorban” los granos horrible e incrustados en unos cuantos días. El olor que tiene a azufre es fuerte pero con sus excelentes resultados es totalmente tolerable. Además es económico y el bote dura muchísimo.
