**Q: What's the diameter of the tip? ... and can I fix the length of the cable?**
A: The cable is adjustable up to 30".  3in x 1.5in x 0.5in is the dimensions.

A: No - it is not TSA approved. Not recommended for use when flying.

**Q: How many millimeters wide is the tip of the cable?  I need it to pass through a 5mm hole. Thanks!**
A: I bought this but it will not pass through the hole on the zippers, which is what I was wanting it for. However, I am able to run this cable across the front of my backpack and lock it, then use small padlocks to lock each zipper to the cable.

**Q: I brought this product however, it didnt have the paper/manual inside about how to set code or open it.  Now I've locked it and cannot get it open.**
A: From manual : step one, set to preset code of 000. step two, move reset lever to the up and right position. Then adjust the combination to your desired code . Step three put reset lever back down to save the code you chose.

Worked great for securing luggage on trains in europe! First off, this is not going to stop a hardened thief. Anyone carrying a pair of wire cutters could cut right through the cable. I would only suggest this for brief periods when you walk away from your bike. Not for overnight parking or longer term storage. I got the green model to make it stand out in my black saddlebags. Oddly, pricing varies by color. The combination reset switch is extremely hard to move, so hard that I initially thought my unit was defective. But I finally figured out the technique. So don't give up if you order this. The cable is roughly two feet long and that is more than adequate to secure a helmet to a bike. It has three dials which enable combinations up to 1,000. Someone with enough time on their hands could conceivably try every one until they hit it. A 4th dial would solve that, but as I said - this is not a long term security solution. I really just needed it for quick stops for lunch, gas ups, or other brief exits from the bike. It locks and releases easily, and is lightweight and takes up hardly any room. It's not heavy duty, but will do the job briefly which is all I need.
