Very nice and easy to use lock.
I use this lock to keep my Bluetooth speaker on my bike so no one can just grab it. Easy to lock and unlock.

Easy to use, good for luggage on trains
Worked great for securing luggage on trains in europe! I understand that this lock is merely a deterrent for theft, not very protective against it if someone has a tool to cut the cord, but all we wanted was to lock our luggage to the luggage rack so a snatch and run situation would not happen. Very easy to use, we could attach and remove it very quickly so we wouldn’t hold anyone else up on the train.

Nice lock for its intended use
First off, this is not going to stop a hardened thief. Anyone carrying a pair of wire cutters could cut right through the cable. I would only suggest this for brief periods when you walk away from your bike. Not for overnight parking or longer term storage. I got the green model to make it stand out in my black saddlebags. Oddly, pricing varies by color. The combination reset switch is extremely hard to move, so hard that I initially thought my unit was defective. But I finally figured out the technique. So don't give up if you order this. The cable is roughly two feet long and that is more than adequate to secure a helmet to a bike. It has three dials which enable combinations up to 1,000. Someone with enough time on their hands could conceivably try every one until they hit it. A 4th dial would solve that, but as I said - this is not a long term security solution. I really just needed it for quick stops for lunch, gas ups, or other brief exits from the bike. It locks and releases easily, and is lightweight and takes up hardly any room. It's not heavy duty, but will do the job briefly which is all I need.

A must-have
We used these locks on all our luggage, including carry-ons, and I highly recommend them for anyone seeking secure locks. We also paired them with zip ties to secure the zipper to the bag's handle, preventing any movement. They worked very well for us.

If I could give it a zero I would
Piece of crap - DO NOT BUY! It is very rare for me to give a bad product review but please do not buy this lock. I bought it specifically to lock the pannier bags to my bike. I bought 2 of these (one for each pannier). When they came it was easy to set the combination of my choosing. I checked them out, tested them multiple times on my bike, figured out how I would use them for each pannier for my overnight bike trip. When I got to my destination the one would not lock. After multiple attempts it finally locked. I am really glad the bags were staying on my bike the whole time because when I got back to the car the next day I could not unlock the one. This meant I would need to drive home with 2 of my bike bags still on the bike; I was not happy about this. I attempted to unlock it and get the cable out for a good 20 minutes. Finally I looked through the limited number of tools I keep in my car and found one tool which also had a wire cutter. It took a few attempts to cut the cable but it finally cut through so that I could get the bags off my bike before traveling. I just went to do a return and of course the return window closed yesterday. Do not waste your money!

Snowboarding
We used it as a snowboard lock and it was easy to keep in my pockets and lock up my boards when i needed a quick break. Can even wear my gloves when I unlock it. Did not rust in the wet environment.

Lewis N. Clark TSA Approved Padlock
The long metal cable makes this ideal for locking luggage or using as a bike lock. Very durable and excellent quality.

Good for Exrra Layer of Security, but Not Good for Main Layer of Security
This lock is amazing if you are in a hurry and only if you lock it up in public places with cameras watching you because it's not built for Max durability or does not have military grade technology protection for the cable. I paid $12 in my honest opinion I think it's worth for the size, durability, I think it's worth around 8 not 12 but if you're in a hurry and you park your bike in a public places in front of cameras, this lock is really good for quick run and run out action. As you can see in the image, I do not post the image to downgrade the product but I bought this before I bought a cable and a vibration alarm for my bicycle and at the time this cable lock was all I had. That was a bad idea to have this if that's all you have because if you're in a city like me that is growing daily with thieves that that get away with vandalizing your stuff right front cameras, you're going to need a thicker more durable cable lock and a vibration alarm, and also good knowledge of law enforcement if you use self defense weapons. This locks cable broke so easy, it was not even the cable that broke but the cable head. This lock can be easily fixed, because of the way it broke but if this is all I have my back is very under protected. Don't forget that no matter how many locks and cables you have, thieves always have knives and they love to go for the tires so you going to need something like I a motorcycle tarp to cover up the bicycle as well. There's some parts that are quick and easy but just be prepared to always watch your bicycle when you lock up, because the best defense for your bicycle is a baseball bat with law enforcement respect for proper use AKA go for the legs. I would buy this again but only after I had a vibration alarm and a durable cable lock which I now have. In the image, everything still works properly except for the fact the cable needs to be repaired and maybe I can have a guy down the road fix it at his car shop.
