You have to put it on well in advance before your tattoo. I had it on an hour and a half before my session started and by the end of my 3 hour session, I could have gone at least another 2 hours. I was really impressed by how long it lasted for me. It has to be applied generously and you let it sit on your skin. You don’t rub it in. If you follow the directions, it will forever change your tattoo sessions. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Didn't Work for Me, But... *by A***E on August 9, 2019* This product just did not work for me despite closely following the directions, which was unfortunate since I'd bought it to help reduce the pain of getting a tattoo. I know lots of other people have had it work for them, but apparently topical lidocaine at this strength just doesn't numb me as well as other forms of numbing can. At any rate, I decided to return the item, and had very prompt, courteous and helpful service from the seller.If lidocaine works well for you, I'd say don't be afraid to give this product a try. It goes on smooth and easy and doesn't feel horrible while numbing like some other products do, and a cherry on top is that it even smells nice. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Numbing Indeed! *by T***Y on October 24, 2019* This, and Uber Numb are my go to for tattoo numbing. I paid my dues from years 18-30 when I covered my body up from neck to feet. I know there is this thing in tattoo culture about "earning it," and if you're insecure about who you are and what you're about go for it! I would have loved to have this when I had my sternum done, or my feet or other painful areas. I have never met one person who "enjoyed" the pain. So now I use this!You clean the area, shave it if you have hair there, put the product on for 60m or so. When the wrap comes off, and the product has been wiped away the clock is ticking. The numbing lasts at the longest 2 hours for me. It is great for meaty, fatty areas. Some areas such as the hands, the top boney part of the feet? It doesn't work. So know what you're getting into if you want those areas done.
