Since we all have numerous devices that use the same cables I have purchased a LOT over the years, but none have compared to these. The cheaper generic ones I purchased in the past the pins became lose over time and device wouldn't connect anymore. With these StarTech cables they fit snug and have the best connectors I have ever used. I have stocked up on different sizes of these and well worth it. Pay the little extra and go with these of any size, you won't be dissatisfied! A++ cables.

I needed to update the firmware on my Motorola Mission Critical push to talk pods via Motorola Accessory Programming Software. It requires a high build quality shielded USB A to Micro USB cable that supports high speed data and power support. I tried many cables I had sitting around the house and the update would freeze. Luckily I didn’t brick the pod. After some research on forums, this exact cable was recommended as a cable that works perfectly with Motorola APS for successful firmware updates. Once it arrived, it was immediately clear this is no cheap low quality cable. The bag it came in lists the specs. The cable is properly marked with its data capabilities, and the connectors on each end oozed with quality. I plugged it into the pod micro usb and it smoothly latched in place with a perfect fit. The pod was immediately recognized, and I was able to update the firmware with zero issues. I did the same with my Motorola Mission Critical wireless remote speaker microphone that was stuck on old firmware. It updated without a hitch. Not all micro usb cables are the same. This is a solid cable that is easy to use and transfers data to and from Motorola APS accessories with ease. It’s worth every penny. You spent a ton on the gear. Don’t cheap out on a cable sitting around the house. That cheapo sitting in the drawer can brick your gear. Highly recommended!

This appears to be a good quality cable that is generally well made. The ends of each side of the cable are solid and tight, and the cable itself is moderately flexible, with a smooth covering. A tension release spring (plastic) is on each end of the cable to help reduce the chance of breakage. For its price, it is an excellent replacement cable when you need one of this type (mine was for a rechargeable electric beard trimmer that charges through a USB port). Five stars.

Only lasted a few months! I bought this to use in my car. At first it was great, but it stopped working after a few months. Disappointing.

I'm using this to power my Raspberry Pi, so I'm not moving it around a lot or subjecting it to much wear. It's exactly what I needed though. Perfect length for me, and working perfectly.

The first one I received was defective. Amazon replaced it within days. The second one works as advertised. Fits snugly. Iffy quality control.

The very best cell phone charger cable i have ever bought!!!!!

Después de que el cable original del Samsung SIII me diera problemas (al principio había que poner el móvil en una determinada posición y al final no había manera de cargar), me decidí por este cable y puedo decir que he acertado. Lo uso con el enchufe del SIII original y va igual de bien (que el cable original cuando funcionaba, claro), de hecho encaja de manera más firme en el móvil. Antes de éste compré un cable en el todo a cien, que resultó ser muy fino y no cargaba el móvil, únicamente mantenía el nivel de la batería sin importar a dónde estuviera enchufado. Este cable Startech sin embargo se ve robusto y carga rápido con el enchufe original, enchufándolo también en el coche o al USB del ordenador. Tampoco se ha desconectado nunca del USB como sí ocurría incluso al principio con el cable del SIII original.

Buon cavo, fa il suo dovere. L'ho usato per più cose, trasferimento dati, ricariche eccetera e non mi posso lamentare. Per il prezzo direi che vale la pena comprarlo

Reconoce memorias Flash drive y sobre todo discos duros portatiles lo que me sorprendio, extremadamente util para transferir archivos cuando uno no se encuentra cercas de una computadora de escritorio o laptop.

I received this cable today, so these are my initial impressions. I bought it for use with my Galaxy Nexus 16GB Sim Free Smartphone and I can report that it works very well. The connectors at both ends fit snugly into their respective sockets and the micro-B end has two small springy teeth that help the cable to stay attached to the phone, but still allow it to be removed without too much force being required. This is a pleasing feature, compared to one of the other cables I tried previously, the teeth of which were fixed in place and thus made insertion/removal of the micro-B end rather difficult ( SAMSUNG GALAXY NEXUS USB MAINS CHARGER WITH MICRO USB CABLE PART OF THE QUBITS ACCESSORIES RANGE ). I have used the cable successfully for both charging the phone and transferring data to my PC. I recommend it highly.
