FJÄLLRÄVEN Men's Barents Pro Trousers

Heard afew mixed reviews about these trousers, mostly positive I might add. I'm around 5ft 6in and a size 32 short, fjallraven's sizes confused me but got these in the 48 and honestly I've never had some trousers fit me so perfectly!!! Not tight at all!! Even with the pockets filled, they feel so comfy around the waist and legs , they feel so light, only wore them afew times and there definitely my main pair now. My ONLY gripe with them is the leg length! I've searched online and youtube and even fjallraven state you may need them altering for a perfect fit, ALOT of material had to come off the bottom of the legs for me. There was a review on here saying they sent them back due to the protective extra material on the knees not looking right, the trousers I have are all one colour and you don't really notice it tbh. Top quality product, really starting to love the brand! Expensive but you get what you pay for.

These are my favourite outdoor trouser. They look and fit great. They're very rugged. Perform well in the rain. They can be waxed or sprayed for better performance. They're also endorsed by Woodlore, the website run by the bushcraft expert Ray Mears. I would consider these to be genuine bushcraft kit, a level above your typical outdoor trouser in terms of style, longevity, comfort and ability to handle bad weather. Having said that, I was very displeased with my order. I was sent grey instead of grey/dark-grey. So the trousers did not have the knee pad affect shown in the photo. Also, I ordered '50' but was sent '50-long' which is miles too long for me. While I did not order 'long' and was surprised to receive it, just be aware that I'm 6-3 [34-34] and the 'long' wraps almost to the ball of my foot. Disappointed, always difficult buying Fjällräven kit due to the poor availability...

Firstly like other reviewers I expected these pants to be long in the leg. The pants are delivered unhemmed and they do have the cotton delivered with them to be used on the hemming. If they do fit you in the leg then you must be 6 feet six. I did know this before purchasing and having already seen the quality of these from friends I went ahead and bought a pair. These are excellent pants with quirky pockets and knee patches. They feel nice to wear they look smart but still have that rugged outdoor look too. I think also they will last as they have a tough feel about them. They are delivered from Germany but still arrive inside 2-3 days. I would recommend these.

Extremely well designed and fairly well constructed. All the pockets are in the right place. Very comfortable to walk and work in. However the knee pad pocket stitching has failed in two places, the adjusted hems have disintegrated aling the crease and one belt loop has been severed by friction from my rucksack. The pre-bent knees look daft but are functional at least. The waist sizing is highly unpredictable and impossible to adjust without a belt. A good product but room for improvement at this price.

I have wanted a pair of these for years. Finally I got a pair in my size and expected to get them tailored for length. The "knee pad" slots are below my knees however. These were made for 6' 8" scandinavians.....not normal humans....from the UK!

I purchased a pair of these (in a different colour) previously. The problem is that once you start wearing them it's very difficult to wear anything else! I wear them walking/hiking, working, lounging, shopping...basically all the time they're not being washed. They're extremely hard-wearing, comfortable, and they look great too IMO. Eventually I thought to myself "Crikey, I'd better get another pair or people will think I don't change my clothes!" These are my second pair, and I expect them to be exactly the same as the first, durability wise. The only downside is that unless you're a giant you're probably going to have to take 3-4 inches off the leg length, or if you can't maybe find someone helpful who can. Not a fault because they're purposely made so they fit all heights. Other than that they're perfect, and well worth the outlay.

Amazing trousers light weight very warm and tough deserves the 5 star rating with an A+.They are expensive but will last years, very good quality. 56 is a 38 -39" I needed to have them tailored to my leg lengh as the raw length is very long. They have very good quality poppers on the pockets YKK zippers a mesh pocket in one of the cargo pockets that fits an iphone perfectly. They will also take knee pads under the cordura knees.

Great Quality trousers, worth the money, very comfortable. All the logos on the press studs are the same alignment, nice attention to detail. No arse pockets though, doesn't bother me, so many other pockets, pretty sure one can be used for an axe. I would not like to fight the man that these fit, I had them reduced in length by 6.5 inchs.

Durable. Fit well. My fiancé, who is Swedish, adores the quality of this brand.

I feel like I can live out of these pants, I put them on walk I to the woods and never want to come back. Just want to do some Viking stuff with my Viking friends now.

In der vergangenen Woche habe ich mir diese Hose bestellt, welche auch wie angeben kurzfristig geliefert wurde. Warum habe ich mir die Fjallräven Herren Hose Barents Pro Hose ausgewählt?: Ich benötigte eine "Outdoor-Hose", welche grob wasserabweisend ist und auch bei Kontakt mit kleinen Dornen und Gräsern nicht direkt kaputt geht. Nach kurzem stöbern habe ich die Fjällraven Hose Barents Bro gefunden und war direkt von Ihrem äußerlichen Erscheinungsbild begeistert. Die Farbe und Passform auf dem Produktfoto haben mich direkt angesprochen. Die Verstärkung an den Knien inkl. der einzelnen Taschen erschienen mir da genau richtig. Somit habe ich die Hose bestellt. Sie kam unmittelbar 2 Tage später bei mir zu Hause an. Details zur Hose - entspricht die Hose der Artikelbeschreibung?: Die Hose wurde in einer schmalen Plastiktasche geliefert. Nach dem Auspacken war der erste Eindruck durchweg positiv. Die Farbe ist exakt wie auf dem Bild zu entnehmen. Sowohl an den Knien, dem Logo und der Gesäßbereich entsprechen die Farben exakt der Artikelbeschreibung. In der Beschreibung habe ich gelesen, dass die Hose sehr lang ausfallen würde. Das war mir also bewusst. Ich bin 2,01 M groß und wiege 100 KG. Gerade dabei ist es schön, wenn die Hosenbeinlänge etwas länger ausfällt - was sicherlich Geschmacksache ist -. Ich habe Größe 54 gewählt und war darauf eingestellt, dass die Hose ggf. umgekrempelt oder umgenäht werden muss. So war es dann auch. Die Hose ist satte 10 cm zu lang. Das kann nun als Vorteil als auch Nachteil ausgelegt werden. Personen mit meiner Größe kennen das Problem, dass es nicht immer leicht ist, Hosen in der richtigen Länge zu finden. Da ist es einfacher eine Hose umzukrempeln oder abzunähen, als diese immer wieder zu verpacken und zurück zu schicken. Die Passform der Hose ist für mich perfekt. Nicht zu eng und nicht zu locker. (Ergänzend habe ich mir den "Fjallräven Herren Canvas Brass Belt" bestellt. Dieser passt farblich perfekt zur Hose und verhindert, dass die Hose auch nur ganz minimal verrutscht Fjällräven Herren Gürtel Canvas Brass Belt, Dark Olive, One Size, 77297-633 ). Zurück zur Hose: Die Passform ist perfekt, das Hosenbein umgekrempelt und somit für mich absolut genial. Wie verhält sich die Hose draußen (Wasser, Wärme, Bequemlichkeit, Robustheit): Die Hose kam am vergangenen Samstag zum ersten Mal zum Einsatz. Es war etwas kälter (5 Grad) und somit durfte die "lange Elli" nicht fehlen. Zusammen mit der "Elli" hatte ich die perfekte Kombination gewählt. Nach gut einer Stunde fing es an zu regnen und zwar richtig!!! Da wir als Treiber auf der Jagd unterwegs waren, ging es durch verschiedenste Wälder. Vom 1 Meter hohen Senffeld, kleineren Waldstücken bis hinzu kleineren Dornenbüschen. Auch nach dem Starkregen blieb die Hose zunächst trocken. Das grobe Wasser kam einfach nicht durch und somit war mir weiterhin warm. Zur Wärme: Ganz ehrlich - die Hose ist trocken geblieben. Es wäre ohne langer Unterhose jedoch einfach zu kalt geworden. Dafür ist diese Hose aber auch nicht gedacht. Wenn es nieselt und um die 10-15 Grad warm ist, ist das m. E. ein anderes Thema. Aber das war mir bewusst. Hätte ich eine "Winter-Outdoor-Hose" gesucht, hätte ich nach einer gefütterten Alternative Ausschau gehalten. Von daher völlig okay. Kleinere Dornen und Äste konnten mir nichts anhaben und haben auch keine Schäden in der Hose verursacht. Ich war wirklich erstaunt, wie robust und stark die Fjällraven ist. Nach 5 Stunden durch Wiesen und Wälder und dem ein oder anderen Regenschauer (ich stand ungeschützt mitten im Regenguss :( ), war es dann aber so weit. Der rege Kontakt zu den hohen Pflanzen und immer wieder kurzer Starkregen, verursachten im Nachgang doch ein Durchkommen der Nässe. (Aber nochmals: Die Hose ist wasserabweisend und nicht wasserdicht.) Es wurde ein wenig klamm. Der Tragekomfort war weiterhin optimal, da die Hose nur minimal Wasser aufsaugt und die Hose somit nicht schwer wie ein Sack wurde. Fazit: 1. Die Hose entspricht m. E. absolut der Artikelbeschreibung (Wasserdicht, etwas zu lang, ...) 2. Für mich die exakte Hose um draußen in der Natur unterwegs zu sein. Entweder beim Angeln, Wandern, Gartenarbeit, etc.. Der Tragekomfort und das sehr bequeme Material, lassen es mich auch länger in dieser Hose aushalten. Wirklich top!! 3. Wer eine wasserdichte Hose sucht, sollte diese Hose meiden. Dauerregen und/oder Wassermassen können nur bedingt von der Hose abperlen. Nieselregen, Nebel oder Raureife sollte jedoch Paroli geboten werden. 4. Ich bewerte diese Hose mit 5 Sternen und empfehle diese absolut weiter. Das Preisleistungsverhältnis stimmt m. M. nach sehr gut. Zusammen mit dem o. a. Gürtel der richtige Einkauf und genau richtig für meine Outdoor Aktivitäten.

Don’t buy!! This size was waaaaay too small then the label was sent to an email no longer in use so by the time we realized the return window had closed. Really felt like a setup to be honest.
