I felt it could be sharper but that is down to me, not the stones, I needed to spend a little more time rather than rushing it. They are good quality as are all the bits that come with it and the three different grits are the perfect combination to sharpen pretty much any knife and resembles incredible value for money. I had a towel under the base for extra stability - without it, the base will slip occasionally.
