BBC Atlas of the Natural World is a unique survey of life on Earth in all its remarkable richness an beauty. This twelve-disc set brings together xxxx landmark BBC series that combine to give one of the most comprehensive portraits of Africa (Wild Africa and Congo), the Mediterranean (The First Eden), Europe (Europe: A Natural History), the Western Hemisphere (Land of the Eagle, Spirits of the Jaguar, Wild South America) and Antarctica (Life in the Freezer) ever assembled. In over 35 hours of programming reaching back over three billion years, viewers will examine the birth of these vast continents from the dawn of time and examine how the rise o human civilization has forever changed the landscape. Review: Another fantastic Natural History collection! - This bundle of a few Natural History documentaries (by the genius BBC) is a must for anyone who's intrigued by our world's nature and natural history. Although quite expensive by desertcart.com terms, you do get a bunch of documentaries that may otherwise turn out to be more expensive when bought individually. The 'Congo' series is a unique and rare documentary about one of the least visited areas in the world. It gives you a rare glimpse into the Congo Basin and helps you understand its natural history a little better. I wish this series comprised more than (only...) 3 episodes! Furthermore, the series about Africa in general, gives you an idea of the complexity and uniqueness of the African continent. I'd also recommend the series about Europe and the 'first Eden'. Although I've been living in Europe for over 15 years now, I never realized how special and interesting the ecology and natural history of this continent actually is. That is until I watched these two documentaries! Well, I think this review says it all... It's a true must-see for any nature lover. Review: BBC - I ordered this video because I love to watch wildlife, and I loved it. I don't know how to do the half a star so I went & went ahead and did a 5 star. The only thing about this video is that the music kind of covers the narration, the narration is kind of weak. That's the only thing I have to say about this video. I love this otherwise. Now I'm not going to tell about what's in it or how it is, or tell about what episodes are in there, the titles are already on the product description when you look at it. This is a great wildlife video, otherwise I would write something else. You won't regret it, I promise. Buy it, and have a great time watching it over and over again. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | Contributor | Various | | Customer Reviews | 4.0 out of 5 stars 57 Reviews | | Format | Box set, Color, Multiple Formats, NTSC | | Genre | Special Interests/Nature & Wildlife | | Language | English | | Number Of Discs | 12 | ## Images ![BBC Atlas of the Natural World Set: Africa, Europe, Western Hemisphere, Antarctica - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81g8w-c23QL.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Another fantastic Natural History collection! *by N***K on August 6, 2011* This bundle of a few Natural History documentaries (by the genius BBC) is a must for anyone who's intrigued by our world's nature and natural history. The information is very good as well as the filming. The problem is that all of the episodes in the set do not play at all. On disc one, the episodes titled Savanna, Desserts, and Coasts do not play at all. It is literally hit or miss as to which ones will play as each disc is viewed. This is very disappointing for BBC as they should have made sure the quality is present and all of the episodes play. I was quite surprised at the issues with this dvd set. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.sn/products/158256630-bbc-atlas-of-the-natural-world-set-africa-europe-western](https://www.desertcart.sn/products/158256630-bbc-atlas-of-the-natural-world-set-africa-europe-western) --- *Product available on Desertcart Senegal* *Store origin: SN* *Last updated: 2026-10-12*
