Tons of speed
First off, I consider myself as someone just entering the intermediate level of table tennis play. I found I could not play with generic rackets, but when I played with some friends' cheap Stiga rackets I was able to improve my game to intermediate. My personal play style uses lots of spin. I am inconsistent with my forehand slams, but have control with my backhand. I purchased this Killerspin because of the high speed/spin/control ratings, the review ratings, and the relatively inexpensive price tag in order to improve my game over the cheap rackets we were using, and here is what I found. The following comments are based on my experience. Keep in mind they are in regard to my personal play style and I hope that you are able to use the review to accurately gauge how you can use the racket: I have had this racket for two to three months. 1) This racket has a ton SPIN on it. It takes getting used to for the person using it, as well as the opponent. With very little movement, there is a great amount of spin placed on it. I find I can get many more points off of a well spun/placed serve, and can throw people off with the exaggerated spin in different directions while in play. (I use a lot of spin in my normal play, so I can control spin pretty well). 2) This racket has a ton of SPEED on it. So much speed that I have to re-learn how to slam it with my forehand. My backhand slam still works pretty well, but I can't keep it on the table with my forehand anymore. Prior to using this racket, I could return a slam from my opponent by stationary blocking, but now when they slam it, if I do that, it bounces back over the table completely. You would need to pull the paddle back as you blocked to try to reduce the return bounce, unless you can control the slam back, or change the angle of return appropriately. 3) The CONTROL on this racket is okay, but not great. Because of my difficulty with the speed, particularly when slamming, my control of the ball has shot down. I will require a lot more practice to gain the necessary control. My opponents: I play a two to three times a week for about 30-60 minutes. Prior to using Killerspin, my opponents often beat me overall, though sometimes I would win the majority of games. After using this racket, and getting some practice, and allowing my opponents to get used to it, I am hard to beat (they are at an intermediate level as well). You should know that I do not feel like I am any better at the game (in fact I feel as though I've lost skill). Adapting to this racket is difficult, and since I've lost so much control I don't slam as much. Without a doubt, though, it gives the ability to go from intermediate to pro if you can master the speed and control with the racket. The spin is very good, and I've enjoyed using it so far. I need a lot more practice in order to master it, but it's a very good racket. As a potential alternative, my friends bought an intermediate Stiga (I think the Supreme). I enjoyed using that one as well. It has less spin potential, and a lot less speed, but the control gain is very nice, in my opinion. I do not know which I prefer. I hope this helps!

Great quality paddle
This purchase was experimental for me as it is my first personally owned table tennis paddle. I've played with a variety of paddles and had a pretty good idea about what I wanted. I was bouncing back and forth between the Jet 200 and the 400 and decided that the extra spin rating was worth the extra cost. A friend of mine bought the Jet 200, and I had a chance to do a side by side comparison with the 200 and 400 paddles. There is virtually no difference between the two paddles, and I'm not certain where the extra $20 goes for the 400. The paddle rubber seems identical, but the foam padding is a different color. I'm assuming the padding is a slightly different material which is where the slightly different speed/control/spin ratings factor in. He still beats me at a 3/2 game ratio even with the 200 so it's obvious that the extra $20 did not buy me any extra skill unfortunately. One small caveat to the super-tacky Killerspin rubber: So yea, you can spin the ball pretty easily now, but your paddle now reacts to your opponents spin that much greater. Be prepared to allow some adjustment time to get used to having to be more precise in responding to oncoming spin. The rubber will get dusty after a day or two of play and will not have the 'tack' it once had when you first removed it from the packaging. If you're picky, this can be remedied by rubbing some water on the rubber surfaces and patting it down with a lint free cloth of some sort. As far as the "poor quality" reports go, I'm not sure I can relate to such experiences. The paddle is of solid construction and the glue is good. I suppose experiences may vary depending on either how hard you play and how well you take care of your equipment. I've had a few run-ins with the paddle grazing, skidding, and bonking the table and the only evidence of it are small marks on the sticker covering the outer rim - no "rubber missing" or evidence of glue failing. Unless you're using your new paddle as a hammer or you're throwing the thing across the room in a fit of nerd-rage, I'm confident this paddle will last a while. I'm giving it a 5 because I'm impressed with the quality and I'm happy with the purchase overall.

Very good paddle! impressive spin! and you can increase your style of play with it!!
Very good paddle! I read every comments before buy it, and the really is (after 4 months using it): The hit of the racket with the ball has a slightly unpleasant sound but does not affect your style of play at all! It has a lot of spin, really impressive compared to my previous racket !!! and you have to get used to having more control of the poddle. but without doubt if you use a lower quality racquet than this one, you will notice the difference! but you will get used to using it and you will feel how your style of play improves. I recommend it 100%. Getting used to it will be the same every time you buy a new paddle, so you just have to take the risk and play with it, to feel how can it help you to improve your playing style!!!

Great... now I have no excuses....
This is a great upgrade from my old college racket. I purchased a ~$20 Stiga racket ages ago and have been continuing to use it much to my dismay. Slipper rubbers? Yikes. With the help of some generous family this past holiday season, I was able to purchase this racket without impacting the wallet. I have only a couple things to say about this product, all of them shining compliments. Fantastic spin, speed, and control (when I strike the ball correctly). Although I am not by any means a competition quality player, this racket has improved my game dramatically in a few short sessions. I am no longer fighting a racket that produces lousy spin or unpredictable sponge response. Balance is fantastic for me. The mass center appears to be near the lower 1/3rd of the racket face, giving it a nice feel either defensively or offensively. Though Killerspin's website ranks this racket a 7, it appears to be plenty of speed at this point in my ability. Pros: The racket has a seemingly great build with spinny, controlled response. Cons: I can no longer blame my racket for my play being bad.

Awesome Intermediate Racket - Great Price Point
I am just moving from amateur level to intermediate and this was just the racket I needed to take my game to new heights. The first change I noticed was how much faster the ball came off this racket vs. some of the beginner rackets I had used. The next thing was a massive increase in spin. I had all the strokes down, but could never really get a loop strike because other rackets lacked the tackiness as well as the foam to cause the rubber to wrap around the ball and impart massive spin. If you are primarily a defense player, this may not be a good racket for you because as well as it puts spin on the ball, spin from the opponent is felt more as well. In terms of durability, I play at least an hour a day and have had it for a little over a month. I am starting to see a bit of wear around the edges of the rubber, but I mostly chalk that up to accidentally striking the edge of the table during a few chop hits. Other than that, everything is still like the day I bought it. Once this wears out, I will probably move to a blade only purchase with a couple rubbers. I highly recommend reading butterfly's rubber comparison chart. It was very useful in understanding how the different components of the racket impact the performance.

Hits flat, great for defensive players, not my favorite paddle
I'm not too impressed with this paddle. It appears to be well made but the rubbers seem to be cheap. I could put great spin on it when I first got it but after 1 month of using it a few times a week, it already appears to be wearing off. Also, it does not grab the ball so I can put topspin on it with a slam but hits very flat. This is leading me to hitting the ball long off the table. It is very fast and is great for defensive blocks.

Great "Step Up" Paddle
My employer recently added a ping pong table to our breakroom... and I decided that I kinda like the game! Partially because the paddles that came with the table were fast disintegrating, and partially because I wanted to "up" my own game, I began looking into paddles here on Amazon. There are a LOT to choose from! I am a most bang for your buck kind of person. I had $50 to spend. I read the reviews and thought that the Killerspin 400 would be a good fit. The paddle is well balanced.. when placed in your hand, you do not feel the weight of the head. But hold it in one hand, and the stock paddle in the other and you can instantly tell that the weight is significantly more. I was just learning to put some spin on the ball with the stock paddles and I liked that this was rated well for the spin. It seems to live up to that rating. With little effort, everything comes of this paddle with a lot of spin. But, what good is spin if you can't land a shot? The Killerspin paddle also gave me a LOT of control over my shots. Shots that would have been luck in previous games are now part of my regular game (like that tricky little corner just over the net that sends the opponent scurrying to attempt to keep it in play.. ) I don't know how well this paddle stacks up to $70+ rackets.. but I do know that it has been a great factor in my game and my confidence.

It really improved my strokes
Killerspin has rated this paddle a 7 for speed and 9 for spin. I think those ratings are spot on. I moved up from a Stiga Supreme and I really feel a difference in my strokes. More importantly - my opponents feel it too! :) The spin on this paddle/racket is so good that it has improved my serves a lot. Earlier, I never really bothered anyone with my serve, but with this paddle... things are different. I think this paddle imparts a lot more spin (with the same action mind you) and hence making the serve more difficult to return. I now (fairly) regularly score at least 2 points by service alone every time its my turn to serve. Returning smashes is also easier with this paddle. You just have to intercept your opponents smash and the ball lands on the table almost every time. So I'd say it has a very good control too! Lastly, smashing is plain pleasure with this. Even though it's rated lower for speed, I really feel the difference when compare this with my Stiga or with my butterfly (when I was little). And because it has good spin, I'm now able to smash some mind-blowingly unbelievable loops at lightning speed :) Alright, I may have exaggerated that (but only by a little) All in all, I recommend this paddle. I recommend this above Stiga and Butterfly paddles. I'm very happy with this purchase.

Problem with after service.
The rubber edges are not properly glued or the glue is drying out. Otherwise it's an excellent paddle, it's recommended for beginners to intermediate level. Very lightweight paddle, pimple rubber on one side. Only one thing with this price tag, a paddle cover should have been provided. P.S - Today's month is August 2022, I have playing constantly with this paddle. I loved how this paddle grew up on me, improved my extra tuning that gives out the finesse during the game. The only problem I felt after constant use the rubber is very delicate, with that kind of price tag it becomes very difficult for the player to play risky shots. I tried to search for new original killerspin rubbers but couldn't find anywhere, there's no dealer dealing with killerspin rubbers. All in all don't buy a product which you can't mantain, afterservice is nil.

Potencia
Buena pala, aunque si es tu primera pala buena, como era mi caso, hay que acostumbrarse ya que al principio se van muchas bolas fuera al no estar acostumbrado a la velocidad que sale la bola.
