I shoot it with my index finger and thumb on the exposed metal frame, which is contoured to allow a comfortable hold - I believe this is the correct way to shoot it because the handle is too short to grip with the full hand.The frame has sights built in that have two aiming points for different shooting distances.The bands that come with it are way too strong and they only allow about a 12" draw which makes it uncomfortable to shoot for a large adult shooter.
