genuine Divers urethane rubber Watch Band DB73BP 20mm

I was looking for something that was sturdy and easy to install on my Seiko Prospex. It's tough enough to withstand everyday activities but fits nice and soft on the wrist. I can say that it is a little on the expensive side for a watch band, but I value my watches, so it was absolutely worth it.

This is great replacement for a canvas strap on a Seiko 5 series watch. It brings the watch closer to a sporty diver watch and adds some heft to it - that's hard to explain until you see it on your wrist. The rubber strap is flexible and contours to your wrist on the first wearing. Replacement does require special tools or a trip to a jeweler as the strap pins are very small, with the right tools it can be done in minutes. The Seiko 5 is an amazing value for an automatic watch - I fondly refer to mine as a "Baby Grand Seiko"

I've been using Citizen Ecodrive watches for decades. Prior to those, I used a very unique watch called "Contra" - its full name is Seiko Fieldmaster Contra. Due to its age, only watch and its accessories were survived. Recently I was successfully resurrecting this (well, watch repair shop replaced a battery professionally) and looking for its band. So many straight 20mm width replacement bands are available, but I decided to go with this Seiko Divers Watch Band so that my contra will have another glorious days. It looks good, fits well, and most of all, is very comfortable (not too stiff nor soft). Since this is not the original band, replacement band has "enough" wiggle room for old original 20mm pins. I am very pleased of my decision to buy this. FYI. If you have a thin wrist like me (about 8 1/4 inches), there will be extra band tip hanging.

I'll give this replacement band four stars, mostly because it does fit my Seiko watch perfectly. No, it didn't come with the pins, but I was able to use the pins from the original band so that wasn't a problem. The reason I'm giving it only four stars - if I could select 3.5 stars I would, is because it is much thinner and narrower than the original. The original had a very thick, stiff band meant to go over a diving suit. I'm not a diver, but wear this watch swimming in the ocean, pool etc. and it's worked flawlessly for several years. Recently the buckle broke and one of the pins was lodged in one end so I couldn't remove it and use another pin to hold it in place. I ordered this replacement band which says "Seiko" and I'm assuming it isn't a knockoff, but it's thinner in width and not as thick as the original. It is also much more flexible but I'm hoping that won't mean it won't last as long as the original band. I don't know if it's apparent from the photos, but I tried to compare the replacement which is the one now installed on the watch to the original band. You may not be able to tell, but there is a real difference. However it does fit which is good, and time will tell if it's a durable as the original.

Original Seiko strap- suites perfectly fine with Citizen Promsster Diver as well! Quality of the strap is awesome, the same as I remember it from my old Seiko Monster watch strap... Strongly recommend it!

Years ago I bought an original Seiko soft rubber (was it neoprene?) Wrist band for my first Seiko divers watch. I like it a whole lot better than this new band which is harder (hence less form fitting and less comfortable). I don't like this band.

Sad to say that this strap that I ordered wasn’t fit to my seiko diver watch.
