American Soy Organics Freedom Soy Wax Beads, All-Natural Candle Wax, 10 lbs

I am new at candle making and decided to try this wax since it had such good reviews. It melted very quickly and easily, into a very smooth consistency. I was able to mix my fragrance oils very easily as well, the mix poured evenly into my candle containers and levelled perfectly. It only took a few hours for my 8oz candles to solidify, the wick was able to hold well in this wax and not shift around from the center. The color is perfectly white, no discoloration at all (I did not use any colorants) and adhesion to the container was good. The size of the bag is as advertised and will make many 8oz candles, I've made several already and haven't used half of the bag. The wax melts evenly and allows for the added fragrance to shine as long as you add enough percentage, I added somewhere between 6 - 8%. Overall it feels like good quality wax and I am very happy with my purchase. The value for the money gets better the bigger quantity of wax you buy, but if you are just starting out and don't want to commit to very large amount of wax, this 5 lb bag is a good value. I would definitely recommend this wax.

I’ve tried several soy waxes over the years, and this one has been one of the easiest to work with. The beads melt evenly, cool nicely, and make the candle-making process much less messy compared to large wax blocks. I also appreciate that it’s natural and easy to measure out for different batch sizes. The finished candles had a smooth appearance with a really nice scent throw once cured. It blended well with fragrance oils and performed consistently in multiple jar sizes. I had minimal frosting and good overall burn performance with the right wick pairing. Definitely a solid option for beginners and experienced candle makers alike.

This is about my fifth time ordering this soy wax. It is a favorite. This time it has been slightly too soft, resulting in candles that release the wick a bit too easily, resulting in the wick floating in the soy wax. This has not happened before. I will continue to use this product, as it works well generally. This particular batch is just a bit off.

I really liked working with this wax. I did not get sinking around the center near as bad as with other waxes I tried. I’m not sure if that’s due to the quality of this wax but I made 24 candles and only 2 had any sinking/holes around the wick. The wax dye blended beautifully and the scent held up well cold and when burning. I ordered 2 more 5 lb bags due to the quality . Fun project to do . I also made lip balms with it and they were very smooth.

So easy to use. Melts well, burns great. I have zero complaints. Will 100% re purchase

I love this wax, it works so well when I'm making my homemade candles. I will use this again and again. Do not add coconut oil to it like may candle makers have recommended! Adding coconut oil will create an uneven seal around the glass which is very noticeable if you're using clear glass candle jars as I was. This wax is soft and easy to work with, melts quickly and overall I would highly recommend.
