Great work shoes.
The most comfortable steel toe work shoes I’ve ever worn. I walk about 10+miles a day at work and these are the first shoes I’ve found that don’t fall apart after a few months. They fit great. I do find that these pair don’t have great traction on slick surfaces but I don’t think they said they were slip resistant.

Not lasting quality
I originally left these shoes a 5 star review because they felt very comfortable and worked well for a couple months when I did landscaping, but I decided to update my review with this: For a while, I was a pretty big fan of Keens. My whole family was wearing them, but in one way or another, inferior quality has lead to a lot of our shoes kicking the bucket way too early. I've owned about 3 pair of Keen Utility Lansing Mids and all of them had issues in the sole. I used them for work and after about 3-4 months, large bulges began to form in the sole, becoming extremely uncomfortable and causing blisters on my feet. The photo above shows where I marked the shape and size of the bulge in red. I reached out to Keen repeatedly about this problem, but every Keen Lansing I owned did the same thing, and eventually the service team at Keen decided they were not going to stand behind their product anymore and essentially fired me as a customer. In the end, it worked out. Keen is just not right for people who actually use their shoes for their intended purpose, and it's better to not get your expectations high about them and if you want good quality, look elsewhere. I've gotten multiple pair of their hiking boots for my son, and they're just built so poorly and fall apart after a couple months. When I consult about this issue at many shoe stores, all the feedback I get is the same, and their warranty/return rate is very high. It's the same across the board.

Keen for Pros
Keens aren’t just boots. They have purpose. The design looks like it’s made for serious work. They also feel like the best protection your feet can get. Also very comfortable, not too heavy. -Spring/Summer/Fall Construction site work boots -Would recommend different boots for extreme weather rain/snow/cold or hard finished surfaces

Good work boots but has some cons
I recently purchased these work boots and after breaking them in, I have mixed feelings about them. While the boots do have some pretty good features, it also has a few drawbacks. One of the key features of these work boots is the waterproof leather material. I found this to be quite effective in keeping my feet dry, even when working in wet conditions. The moisture-wicking lining also did a decent job of keeping my feet comfortable and preventing excessive sweating. However, I did notice that the boots took a while to dry out after being exposed to water, which was a bit inconvenient. Another safety feature of these boots is the slip and oil-resistant sole. I appreciated the added traction and stability this provided, especially when working on slippery surfaces. It definitely enhanced my confidence in terms of avoiding accidents and maintaining my balance. I must admit, though, I noticed some signs of wear and tear, particularly in areas that were exposed to oil and grease, so long-term durability could be an issue if working under these conditions regularly. Comfort-wise, these boots are somewhat average. The fit was true to size, and the padding provided a decent level of support. The boots were a bit on the heavy side, which caused some fatigue during long workdays, but I've grown accustomed to this over time.

Paleontologist approved. I have hiked 112 miles in these so far
I’m a field Paleontologist. It’s not all just dinosaurs and other cool fossils, I hike a LOT. I hiked 112 miles last month on mitigation/survey work and my company let me expense a pair of boots. These were the ones I picked after intense deliberation. They are perfect. It was February so it was cold, and they are such warm boots, they have great traction on ice and frosted ground, they fit like a glitch and they are so durable, 112 miles into wearing them and they still look and feel brand new with no visible wear and tear. They are insanely light weight for a steel toed boot, less than 2 pounds each with is perfect. If you need a pair of hiking boots with a steel toed boot, GET THESE.

Best work boot I've come across for my wide feet
After wearing this boot pretty regularly for about 2 weeks now I can say it's definitely a lot more comfortable than most work boots I can find. Usually I have a hard time finding my size (10 1/2 wide) and most work boots squish my toes. I have a hard time keeping my feet still during the day and I have a neurologic condition which makes my toes become fatigued and I want to bend them. In these boots I'm able to bend my toes regularly as if I were wearing a pair of shoes. I find that the steel toes are very strong, and the bottom plates keep me very well supported. I find ease and climbing ladders, standing on my toes, or simply walking. I do believe that they are decently waterproof, as I have yet to experience any kind of water leaks when standing in snow or wet material up to my ankle. I also have an issue with my feet stinking, and I have not noticed that yet with these boots. All in all I would say these are my favorite pair of boots I've purchased. The one and only thing that could make them any better, is if they came in multiple colors. I could only find two available on Amazon. And while I really do like the way they look, I would prefer them a little better if they were in a dark brown or dark gray.

4 months in and very pleased!
I have had these boots for over 4 months now. The work I do calls for 3 weeks straight of 10 hour days and includes things like breaking pavement, shoveling rock and mud, pouring concrete both into small pads and hauling buckets of it to fill and dome off big steel bollards. Needless to say, it's strenuous on the feet and also extremely hard on clothes and shoes. Cheap boots get hard on the feet after a few hours and low quality leather does not stand up to the work. All in all, these have been an excellent work boot. I have always really liked the comfort and utility of hiking style boots and these are really the best of both worlds. Pros: -First and foremost, the steel toes. They have an asymetrical design, as in each toe cap is molded to fit either left or right. This is a MAJOR improvement in comfort and general utility over the usual standard shaped toe cap that's in most boots. -On that note. SUPER comfortable right out of the box. No break in period whatsoever. As I mentioned I work very long days on my feet and the comfort provided by these has been a huge deal. -Design: both the tread pattern and the waterproofing are on point, zero complaints. CONS: -The laces. They honestly suck so bad that I ended up replacing them with another brand. Would not stay tied during work and ended up just fraying. I honestly want to subtract a star for it but I'm otherwise happy so I won't. But if you get these and plan on using them heavily just plan on replacing the laces. All in all these are great and I will definitely be buying Keen work boots again for as long as I need steel toed boots.

Complete Junk!!!…
I am so disappointed with Keen. I honestly wanted to give them a chance after the first pair that I bought which only lasted two months without the same issue that I had with these boots. I’ve owned the boots for two days literally two days and the cheap stitching broke that holds the laces. This is the same issue that I had with the last set of Keen boots that I bought, I mean to be quite honest, just pulling the shoelaces together to tie to have the stitching bust is pretty freaking bad. This company should honestly take a second and do some quality control before they turn out products like this seriously disappointed in this company and I will never buy another set of boots from them ever and I will never recommend them to anybody.

An outstanding worthwhile consideration for outdoor work site use
This is a 'true to size' shoe with minimum tolerance. Likes: Waterproof capability No discomfort at toe section due to wide cut with all around protection Definitely looks great Shortfall: Even though the shoe is grippy ( like all good keen material) and works faultlessly on terrain surface, it can slip momentarily on marble or cemented floor due to sole pattern profile which has less floor to shoe area of contact Require oiling if you need to preserve Require a ' break in' period for the shoe to mould to wearer; may experience discomfort till then especially for high arc feet Could have a better shoe lace system Insole is swappable but do get a thin to medium thickness profile alternative as too thick of an insole can result in less fittment to the heel and translate to a heel ' lift off' from within the shoe as you move
