CeraVe Retinol Serum for Face with Niacinamide & Hyaluronic Acid

This is a great way to work retinol into your skincare routine, especially if you have sensitive skin. It is gentle and I have not experienced any irritation with it. I do use it at night and follow it with either CeraVe Night Cream or CeraVe Daily Moisturizing Lotion. The serum is non-greasy and fragrance free and I feel I am left with skin that is well cared for. One thing to note is that this is a very gentle retinol product and may not produce the desired effect as something stronger.

This is by far my favorite retinol when it comes to a beginner or anyone that has highly sensitive dry, raw irritated skin. Most people focus on the percent concentration of retinol or retinaldehyde or tretinoin, but the biggest problem with that is it matters more that you use the product on a daily consistent basis. Now, while some people are able to tolerate very high percentages of retinol and its other forms, I personally have a really hard time tolerating high dose retinol. I continue to come back to this product over the years. It’s definitely more expensive than I would like. I think if it was a $15 price point that would be perfect value for money that being said it does a great job of giving me glass skin and enhancing the overall clarity of my skin. The best part being that I can use is slightly over many thick layers of serums and creams without my face feeling like it’s being burned off the next morning. If you struggle like me with retinol, apply a medium to thick moisturizer of your choice. Wait, at least 10 minutes and then apply one to two pumps of this retinol at night time that buffering of moisturizer and thyme will help this retinal be tolerated better. It also has encapsulated retinol which slows the release. I doubt anyone is still reading this, but if you are, I used to be really upset that they did not disclose the retinol percent i’m assuming it’s below 0.3% that being said I notice a considerable change in my skin where I know it’s working. I also still do get a little bit of dryness if I don’t wait 10 min after skin care , which allows me to know that this is in fact having an impact on my skin.

Gentle retinol that actually works I’ve been using the CeraVe Anti-Aging Retinol Serum and it’s been a great addition to my skincare routine. It’s gentle enough to use regularly but still effective. My skin feels smoother and looks more even, especially with fine lines and texture. I didn’t have much irritation as long as I introduced it slowly. It also has a lightweight texture, absorbs quickly, and doesn’t leave my skin greasy. I like that it includes hydrating ingredients, so it doesn’t dry my skin out like some other retinols. Overall, a great option if you want the benefits of retinol without something too harsh.

Very effective, affordable, classic brand! I noticed a difference almost immediately!

A penas llevo un mes de uso y tengo entendido que este tipo de productos lleva su tiempo para poder ver mejorías. Por ahora puedo comentar que soy de piel sensible y no me ha irritado. Me gusta que se siente ligero y además no tiene aroma. Lo he estado usando solamente por las noches, la primer semana lo usé sólo una noche y a partir de la segunda me animé a usarlo dos noches a la semana alternando con otro serum que es de ácido salicílico. No he tenido problemas, aunque alguna vez he llegado a sentir la cara un poquito sensible (nada preocupante) y esa noche prefiero aplicar solamente mi crema reparadora. También he procurado evitar usarlo si tengo planeado exponerme mucho al sol al día siguiente y todos los días uso protector solar reaplicando cada 3 horas. Hasta el momento no he notado mejorías con este producto en específico, pero como dije, llevo poco tiempo de uso. Actualizaré la reseña si veo cambios. Edición: Van para 11 meses con la misma botellita su uso ha sido gradual por eso ha rendido bastante bien, actualmente lo uso de 3 noches por semana y ya está por acabarse. Ahora con tantos meses de uso sí que puedo asegurar que el producto funciona. Al inicio tenía un poco de miedo porque es el primer retinol que utilizo y soy de piel sensible, pero siento que fue un gran acierto empezar con éste porque ha sido muy noble con mi piel y he visto muy buenos resultados. Aunque alterno el uso de ese serum con otros, siento que en definitiva éste si ha hecho una gran aportación para tener una piel más lisa y con vida, además las manchas que tengo se han disimulado. Pienso que volveré a comprarlo antes de intentar con otro más potente.

Ever since I have been using it, pimples have not returned !! on the rare occasion that it comes up, instead of taking weeks or month to recover from it, it takes a few days to a week to disappear! i can safely eat chocolate without having any breakouts, because the serum helps with cell turnover! A must have!!
