A Masterclass in needle felting dogs: Methods and techniques to take your needle felting to the next level

I believe in giving totally honest reviews, warts and all, so here goes ... Have been waiting for this book for soooo long and finally it arrived, but was left feeling a little disappointed by the physical production of the book. It arrived with wavy pages, the photos are very grainy and to me the quality of the book is not great compared to other similar craft books. It's a shame this has slightly spoiled my excitement at receiving the book.HOWEVER, the content is like gold! Learning the methods, tips, tricks and supplies used from a top professional needle felting artist is like being in a sweet shop, don't know which one to try first!This book is not for a novice felter, but rather to hone skills already learned further and take your needle felting to the next level and beyond. Some of the techniques are very advanced and I look forward to learning these new skills over the next few months.Well worth the wait, and would definitely recommend, however you need to lower your expectations on the physical quality of the book and focus on the content.

Fantastic book.Just started needle felting 2 weeks ago. I started with a simple kit then decided I’d like to try something a little more challenging. My other hobby is realism animal drawing, I like realism in all my projects so after a search I found this book.It’s a total gem, so many ideas, tips and lessons. The dogs that the author makes are stunning.I started the first dog a chihuahua, and I’m really enjoying working through the lesson.Want to make realistic needle felted dogs... you certainly won’t regret this book*** just be aware CM and MM measurements have been accidentally mixed up somehow, it says CM but I’m pretty sure it means MM otherwise the armatures would be massive****

I was so excited to get this book; waited an age for it; I've tried doing the chihuahua but have thrown it away! The armature measurements just don't seem to be right and I followed them religiously. The legs are way too long and I can't get the neck to head ratio right - I class myself as I decent needle felter but I think I'll give up on this one... shame though, nice book.

What a brilliant book from a master felter of dogs, great value for money and every page has instructions, hints and tips to take your needle felted dogs to the next level. I've been felting for six years now and even with that experience under my belt, there's more than enough here to keep me more than happy with my purchase!I wouldn't be at all surprised if this book will become a must have for any needle felter's library!Very good value for money and a really good grounding for creating all sorts of dogs once you've mastered the techniques within each project that the author has so generously shared.Would I recommend this book?ABSOLUTELY 😊😊😊😊

I made the chihuahua and the dachshund, a great book with step by step instructions, very happy. Please note the chihuahua measurements are in mm, not cms, this is why mine is large 😍

Beautiful written, and illustrated.The tips alone are pure gold.Well worth investing in if dogs are your desired subject. Theres a few projects here, and once you've honed your skills, it's easily adaptable to create any dog breed.A perfect addition to my collection.

There are lots of valuable tips but found the layout of the instructions pages sometimes hard to follow as often the explanatory text is separated from the pictures (being on different pages). Having said that the pictures illustrating their points are of good size and quality. Having an index would help.

Was so looking forward to receiving this book and I wasn't disappointed. full of information and great techniques have been shared by the author Cindy-Lou Thompson. I look forward to using this to help me improved with my needle felting. I love it and definately recommend it
