Anything that can ease the agony of grief, even for a moment is a true gift. Our beloved Old English Bulldog, Harley passed away recently and it's been a terrible blow, he was my heart for fourteen years and I, along with my husband and our other dog Elvis are each adjusting to life without Harley as best we can. Shortly after his death it was here on Amazon that I found the right Urn, the name plate a wonderful stone marker and a few other items, the kind you dread having to buy one day but when that fateful day arrives you're pleased to find that there are offerings that can soothe a wounded heart and honor your fallen companion.When I saw this piece, I knew it belonged next to the Urn - it's presence is a gentle reminder of the unshakable bond and the pure, unconditional love between human being and animal. This piece is meant for those of us who understand the great joy of sharing our life with a four legged companion and the price of enduring such horrific grief when we lose them - which we inevitably must pay. It really was love at first sight, I'm sure like all art the meaning is deeply personal and different for all of us, for me this little statue is an Urn angel, a lovely expression of devotion and an immediate source of comfort.The piece is well made, it's solid, well weighted and sound - it's crafted with great attention to detail and is of superb quality. The piece arrives boxed and within a foam encasement. There are two small cards about the piece, the Willow Tree line and the artist. Perfect as a gift of condolence and equally so as a gift to yourself.

This is my ninth (9th) out of nine Willow Tree Angel figurines. I have dearly loved this collection since I first saw it about two years ago. I have always loved willow trees, they are so stately and majestic yet delicate as well. I can just see them swaying in the breeze, they move unlike any other tree. You wind up feeling so protected, surrounded by the umbrella of its branches. Like you are already halfway into a different world, one filled with sweet kindness and gentle goodness, where there is no fear, hatred or jealousy, only joy. My Willow Tree Angel figurines make me feel that same way. Every day Iook at them to refresh certain ideals in my head. I spent a couple of too short hours yesterday looking over my collection in more depth than usual. I took time to contemplate each piece and what it means to me. I rearranged the figurines into a different arrangement, and integrated my two new ones into the group. They fit in beautifully. The Angel of Comfort is a little boy holding a puppy. It looks to me like he just got the puppy, he is hugging it with such joy, and he has his cheek resting on its head. The puppy looks so eager to play, I know in a moment they will be off and running. I can just see those ears flapping (the dogs). This one and Kindness Girl (which I also just got yesterday) are my two new favorites. There are quite a few Willow Tree Angels now. You should not have any trouble at all finding one or more that resonate with you. They are also great as gifts. I know sometimes professionals have very strict limits on giving or recieving gifts of value. Many of these are about $15 to $20, which should be well within any guidelines. I have given these, more than once or twice, as gifts of appreciation. They have been enthusiastically recieved! They also are highly appropriate for family or friends, as comforting or sentimental gifts. It seems to be about on the level of handmade gifts, only better. One of these can be a very special gift indeed.

I bought this for my 13 year old granddaughter it was on her wishlist , we had to do early Christmas with them . It arrived on time and the workmanship is beautiful! She loved it so much . Thank you to everyone who worked so hard on this beautiful gift . I recommend this product !

I recently had to say good bye to my 15.5 Labrador Shepherd mix dog..BEST FRIEND. I wanted to have a little section perhaps on top of our white Fireplace that would be a nice reminder, and or memorial of my dog. I first bought some huge statue type of thing, which was a Labrador and had some nice words about never being forgotten blah blah blah. It was huge and I just didn't like to have such a huge reminder of my dog's passing so I returned it. I stumbled on this Willow Tree hand-painted sculpted angel, Angel of Comfort. It seemed to be the perfect mix of art, and a comfort feeling I wanted that wherever my dog went, he is now safe and OK. The safe and OK part may be wishful thinking, but in any case this piece is REALLY nice and heartwarming. I do wish it could have been maybe another inch taller as it seems to be just 3 inches..but that's fine. Actually the small size has some advantages if you just want a nice subtle looking piece to both remember your best friend but also nothing too much to stand out in a bad way. If I have one negative..or at least for me...this was made in China. It's nothing specifically against THIS piece, and the quality seems just fine. I'd rather pay another $3-$4 etc. if more of these types of things could be made here in the USA...Anyway that's another subject. Overall this is a lovely way to always have a heartwarming and beautiful little reminder of your pet if he/she is now gone...

I will try to be as honest as possible because I depend on other people's reviews and feel I want to help the best I can: My wife collects Willow Tree figurines. She has collected them for many many years. This one arrived in the same great quality and coolness as every single one has before. I guess this company is dependable and puts out a quality product is the best way to describe it. On a personal note, I bought my wife this particular figurine because our tiny 18 year old puppy dog just passed away and thought she'd like it. Which is the amazing thing about these Willow Tree figures. The catalog of different ones is so large that it's easy to find one (or many) that you can relate to on a personal note. Absolutely lovely. I purchased as a rememberance for my dog “Coco”. I cannot think of a better way to find comfort than to picture her in an angels arms. I would highly recommend this quality, well crafted piece of art.

I love this as we recently lost our beloved Labrador. The fact that it’s an Angel cuddling the dog gives us a little bit of comfort and makes us feel that she is being looked after in doggy heaven somehow. Not that we are religious in any way but the sentiment is nice. It’s very well made and is of lovely quality with nice detail. It’s much, much smaller than I expected it to be but I’ve kept it anyway for emotional reasons if nothing else.
