DGSL Attic Door Insulation Cover, Attic Tent 25 x 54 x 11 in

I am very impressed with the value of this attic insulated cover. I wasn't expecting much for less than $30, but I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of material, stitching and zippers. It unfolded to its proper rectangular shape (no sagging) and fit the attic opening very well. I haven't taken any precise measurements of temperature variation before and after install, but I can confidently say that it feels noticeably cooler. Money well spent!

The heat coming from our attic was awful. The AC mechanic recommended this and I’m so glad he did. Installation was easy and so far it seems to be helping. Usually the hallway that the attic stairs is in will get so hot and humid that the walls will start dripping. It also makes the AC work harder as it can’t keep up with the incoming heat. We’ve had a few super hot days and no weeping walls! The AC seems to not be struggling against the heat anymore! So happy with this. Not sure what it’ll be like when we have to go into the attic to retrieve decorations (and really go in/out of it) but even if it only lasts a year, it’s totally worth it for us to hold back the humidity and keep the temp down!

Fantastic!! Easy to install - all you need is a staple gun. My house was built in 1974. The air vent was on the wall below the attic door. The door was leaking heat into the house and sucked directly in the air duct which distributed heat back into every room. My house is staying much cooler. I wished I had done this along time ago. I highly recomend buying this.

This is the single most affordable solution for insulating the attic ceiling access! I would say this is a must-have for homes. You can see in the photos I shared the change in temperature and we can actually feel the improvement especially as a west facing townhome. Surprisingly more effective in energy efficiency than I expected. As long as it is installed properly it does well sealing off the heat. Small and simple but mighty and effectively helpful. Of course don’t expect that it solves all your attic heat problems or replace having more insulation blown in. One thing that would improve this product for me would be if it already came with the necessary screws to install it and/or it has an option to secure it through adhesive or magnet (kind of like the ones for the patio door nets). So there are multiple options to install it.

I’m kicking myself for not doing something like this sooner. My attic access for one portion of my attic is in the bedroom hallway via a pulldown ladder that I had installed before we moved in. It has been a source of a “thermocline” or a change in temperature as you walk down the hall for years and I’ve often thought about somehow insulating it with weather stripping and foam panels or some other insulative boundary. We just had an extended deep freeze so I did some googling and found this product. for under 50 bucks it was here in 24 hours and installed in about thirty minutes with a staple gun. This included some trial and error since my opening was about a quarter inch larger than the insulator. I started in the corners making sure that it was stretched tight between each corner before stapling and then filled in the gaps between. Boy, what a difference! Noticed it immediately, instead of a cold downward draft the heat is now trapped, no cold draft in the hall and I have noticed the heat pump runs less frequently (since the thermostat is right below this ladder). I have used the access a few times and it is easy to zip and unzip and access the attic and it has fared well, seems durable and well made. This thing could actually pay for itself. Again, kicking myself for not doing this sooner. Great product, great price, easy to install and improved comfort, would definitely recommend.

Best thing I have ever done to seal out both heat and cold for an attic access inside hallway. Super easy to install, stand on pull down attic stairs, position cover around opening, instructions easy to follow, staple in place and done! Should have done this years ago!

My bed room is a converted garage with attic access. This made an immediate difference in temperature after installing. I used a staple gun. It holds its own shape so i didn’t have to wrestle it the whole time i was stapling. It zips to unopen. Standard attic entrance with fold out stairs.

Finally decided to install it after first day of heat. Made absolutely 0 difference on the following days.

Sehr stabiles Material und gut zum befestigen. Die Abdichtung ist sehr stark. Würde ich immer wieder kaufen. Die Maße sind etwas größer als meine Dachluke, aber das macht nichts.
