I’m kicking myself for not doing something like this sooner. My attic access for one portion of my attic is in the bedroom hallway via a pulldown ladder that I had installed before we moved in. It has been a source of a “thermocline” or a change in temperature as you walk down the hall for years and I’ve often thought about somehow insulating it with weather stripping and foam panels or some other insulative boundary. We just had an extended deep freeze so I did some googling and found this product. for under 50 bucks it was here in 24 hours and installed in about thirty minutes with a staple gun. This included some trial and error since my opening was about a quarter inch larger than the insulator. I started in the corners making sure that it was stretched tight between each corner before stapling and then filled in the gaps between. Boy, what a difference! Noticed it immediately, instead of a cold downward draft the heat is now trapped, no cold draft in the hall and I have noticed the heat pump runs less frequently (since the thermostat is right below this ladder). I have used the access a few times and it is easy to zip and unzip and access the attic and it has fared well, seems durable and well made. This thing could actually pay for itself. Again, kicking myself for not doing this sooner. Great product, great price, easy to install and improved comfort, would definitely recommend.

I can't believe I put off installing this for as long as I did. It took me maybe 10 minutes to set it up and the stapler that came with it worked perfectly. The material is thinner than I thought it would be and the zipper feels a bit weak and I worry that over time one of the two zipper pulls will pull right off. The product provides more than enough staples. I could have easily doubled if not tripled up the number of staples I ended up using. Even though the material is light it has done a great job blocking cold air from getting into the house. The size looks like fits a typical pull down ladder set up. There is a little bit of play that can be taken up with staples if need be.

Product was easy to install and seal prevents drafts. Fits a standard-size attic stairway. Seems durable. The insulation (R Value) isn't as good as standard attic insulation so I added batt insulation along the sides. I like the zippered closing and I don't have to think about where to move the cover. I had a "tent" type cover before which had a better R Value, but wasn't as convenient to use - I had to move it out of the way each time. I think the seal from drafts is much better on this cover than on the tent style.

Easy installation using a staple gun. It fit well. Took 15 minutes to put in. Replaced an old, floppy, fiberglass insulation, tent-like blanket that did the trick for a 14 years. I expect this will last as long since it is made well. Since the hole to the attic is sealed while you staple it in place, you can install it in the middle of winter and not lose much heat.

Perfect size for the attic access. Very easy to install. The insulation appears to be of solid quality and it was very apparent how effective it was when installing. I installed on a colder day and was sweating while finishing up with the stapling. The zipper quality seems reliable as well. The insulation thickness is quality. I hope it increases our energy efficiency as we have two AC returns in adjacent rooms to the attic access point. Our kids rooms typically have a 4-5 degree variance from the thermostat which is super frustrating. I did take a few before and after pictures with the temp gun and noticed a few degrees difference immediately (the 69.2 degree reading was without the tent installed, 79.1 was directly after install and closing the access). I would recommend this product and buy it again.

Die Qualität des Produktes ist gut. Leider ist die Höhe nicht ausreichend....nach 2maligem Schließen der Treppe haben die Scharniere das Produkt zerstört. Unbedingt die Höhe der eingeklappten Treppe ( Scharniere ) beachten.
