Sun Hats for Women Fashionable Womens Wide Brim Hat Roll-up Straw Sun Visor Hat

Listen up ladies! It's high time we all knew that sun protection is the number one wrinkle-preventer alive. Also, an added plus is a much lower risk of developing skin cancer. Who knew, right? (We knew!) I love the look of the floppy sun hat, but all the ones I've tried have been, well, floppy. They are sturdy shade-givers for maybe a few uses, and then they just flop. Useless and annoying. This visor is so flexibly sturdy! I can kind of guide the sides to where I want them to be with little bends here and there, and they stay where I put them. It protects my skin and keeps me feeling a little cooler in the freaking devil heat we've had in the last couple of weeks here in Ky. I even wear it in the water while I'm floatin, and the back gets a little wet but dries very quickly. No dirty lakewater smell either. There are so many color options. I chose the natural-beige one. I also purchased the slightly creamier natural color, but it did not look as good with my hair color or skin tone, so I returned. It did look nice on my sister's much lighter hair though. Also, the velcro bow really makes it customizable to various head shapes. The absolute best feature is its travel potential. Roll it up, elastic, and bam. Fits in basically any bag. In the picture, the elastic is sticking out the bottom, but it is very easily tuckable. My sis was just like "lemme take a pic of ur hair real quick" so I obviously obliged. (Perfect for this review, though, right?!) The only complaint I have found with this is that in one spot on the back left "flap" there is a tiny piece of the plastic straw that sticks out and snags my bathing suit strap, or slightly scratches my shoulder. But I took nail clippers and a file and eliminated the issue. No repeats necessary so far. I've taken it on about 6 lake trips so far, with no issues! Lots of compliments and requests to borrow! Anyway, great price point, well-made, good material, and functional. The size of the shade is also great for me personally. I ordered a couple other brands to try too and they were kind of small and a little awkward-looking. Also I will point out that I was looking specifically for a visor! I didn't want a hat, because I also like to lighten my hair in the summer sun. Also, the visor feature is what really makes the roll-up feature work. I'm sure a hat would be better overall for avoiding heat, but I gotta say, the visor helps plenty!

I love this hat. I own & have owned several. Every time Poseidon claims one; I buy two more. He loves them as well!! Rolls small, travels great, smushes flat. My favorite feature is I can bend them at will and they stay. I'm overhere looking ridiculous at soccer games because it is the perfect hat for a moving sun vs a pack of running lads. Any and every outdoor activity I have hauled this hat along. The wrap strap/ hairband that ties the hat into travel mode perfectly wraps around a bun to keep the hat secured in a wind. Or you can forget and lose your hat to the goddess of the wind and water. These things sink fast! I love it so much we've spent more than one occasion attempting to tie wine corks on it to get it to float. To no avail. The only thing that would get me to stop buying this hat is an upgraded obscenely large southern belle version or this exact hat that floats! I want to say they are extremely durable as I always have one shoved somewhere and they get USED. I'm going to put a maybe on that as they probably average about 3 years before they hit the bottom of the drink. My life goal is to leave one in every body of water on earth. Jk. That's where my sunglasses are. Not to imply this flies off in any wind. In town I have never lost a single one. It's very secure everywhere but wind over water. Never lost one anywhere else.

Had been rocking my well-loved and much abused collapsible, all-weather, UV hat for years but felt like I wanted something a little fancier for a destination vacation. You know, something that looked like it drank tea with a raised pinkie and didn't scream "LANDSCAPING IS MY LIFE!!!" After endlessly comparing several models of the same style and similar price-point, I settled on this one in all black. Arrived just in time for my trip and was immediately impressed. The material was thicker than I'd expected and the brim is wired and sturdy. It rolls up and secures nicely in my bag in between trips to the beach and the shops, withstood strong winds, constant sun and sand, and even an accidental dip in the sea. What's more, the hat is easy on/off with a variety of hairstyles but stays pretty secure in a strong breeze, the bow at the back is perfect, and I got a ton of compliments and felt a little bit like a golden-age starlet whilst protecting my face and shoulders from too much sun.

From my wife: I am not a big fan of hats in the summer heat, but this was perfect! I wore this on a trip to Vero Beach. It was 90+ weather all week. This hat kept the sun off my face and out of my eyes without making me feel like I was going to die of heatstroke. My teenage son kept trying to steal it from me to block the sun from his eyes in the pool! The center was open so I didn’t feel like all of the heat was getting trapped in my body. I wore it sunbathing and in the pool and ocean, so it did get wet but dried within 12 hours. Side note, I got knocked down pretty hard by the waves which knocked the hat off my head, but fortunately the hat sank and went under my feet and I didn’t lose it! The velcro adjustable strap is perfect for sizing, tight enough to keep from blowing off in the wind and loose enough not to cause a headache. It rolled up tightly taking up little suitcase room without damaging or causing permanent creases in the hat.

I absolutely adore this hat. I'm one of those extremely fair, blue eyed women, and I swear if you even mention sunlight, I burn! 😉 My hair used to actually be completely white, but that changed to a more golden blonde in my early teens. My hair gotdarker, but my skin did not and I am still extremely sensitive to the sun. I have to buy special sunscreen especially for the summer months that has to exceed a factor 50 to keep me fully protected, not to mention that I have to wear sunscreen year round., Melanoma runs in both sides of my family, and I had my first bout of pre-cancerous Melanoma in my large birth mark on my back & in 2 moles on my shoulder at the age of 12. Since then I have had to visit my Dermatologist for rescreenings every 3 years. I've been extremely lucky that it hasn't reappeared, however the dermatologist tells me every time to remain vigilant, not expose too much skin to the sun & ensure I always wear a high power sun screen. Iown a lot of hats, but this is truly 1 of the most favorites in my arsenal. Not only is it beautiful & fashionable, but it folds up so small you can take it with you with in a small bag or purse & not damage it in any way. Then when you're ready to use it again, simply unroll it, and wala it's a beautiful, full coverage sun hat once again. It's the perfect shape to cover your face, neck, fron & back, & a little of your shoulders from the sun. It also has this great opening to allow extra heat to escape, and allows for women to wear with pony tails, top knots or high buns while still getting the sun coverage they need. It comes in so many different colors, & styles that there should be 1 to satisfyevery women. This company has me as a loyal customer for life!

I am SO glad I bought this hat. I brought it with me to Disney World and Universal Studios. It can roll up really small so was easy to travel with and fit into my day backpack. We were out in the sun for hours for 7 days in a row -- it was rough, but this hat was crucial. I get sun burnt so easily, and didn't at all this trip because of this hat. Throughout most of the day, the shade fully covered my face and most of my neck and shoulder area. I still wore sunscreen though just in case. Yes, it's big but it's structured enough that it's not floppy. I took it off and rolled it up every time we went on a ride or went inside somewhere; it was easy to stow away. Because of the way the hat is shaped, it doesn't cover the back of your neck so if you put your hair up, make sure you have sunscreen back there! Also note that because it doesn't cover the top of your head (like a visor), make sure your hair is not parted. My part got a little sunburned the first day I wore it but then I learned my lesson. The next days, my bobby pins would get really hot from the sun, but that was much better than a sunburned head! This hat is now my go-to staple for all summer outings!

I love this hat! Until now, I have never been able to find a straw hat that fits comfortably on my apparently large head. This one is near perfect! Adjustable, stays in place well, cute. I wasn't sure which color to choose, but so glad I went with the black. Goes well with my swimwear and skin tone (beige straw hats often make my fair skin look too red and splotchy). I've already worn it to the beach and pool multiple times since I received it, and it's holding up well so far. It's great for reading outdoors on a sunny day. The velcro is sufficiently strong, and I appreciate that the sticky side faces away from my hair instead of towards it (I have a different straw visor whose adjustable velcro strap always gets stuck in my hair. Ugh!) I love that it's open on top, too, as I usually wear my hair up, especially in the summer heat, and this allows plenty of space for a ponytail or messy bun. So glad I found this!

I like the look and functionality of this hat. However, for whatever reason the fabric gives me pimples on my forehead and now I have scars as a result. :( I will be throwing it away and ordering a brand that I previously had that did not do this.

I love how compact this hat is for travelling! It rolls up nicely and can easily fit in a handbag or suitcase. It has an adjustable velcro patch, and an elastic to make sure it doesn’t blow away.
