20V MAX* 7-1/4-Inch Miter Saw, Cordless (DCS361M1)

Great product with amazing battery durability

I had purchased this saw for its portability and small size; and have fallen in love with its ability to precisely cut very small wood mouldings. Being in the woodworking business, I have packed large and heavy 12” saws to and from job sites for years. But this little jewel has started seeing more of the job sites and hours of shop time. It’s basically a 7 1/4” version of the popular 12” compound sliding miter. I use the 5ah batteries with it and they rarely get tired. It’s very easy and light to pack around and I love the lighted line feature. I mostly keep a very fine blade on it and have found it useful in cutting a wide range of hardwood mouldings. However, I have found it most useful and logical, with certain shop made auxiliary fences, tables and such, to use it for small mouldings and trims that I would have before only wanted to use a hand saw miter box. For me, it has been a great purchase!

Have now used this on a number of projects. Fantastic so far. Only works with the 4AH batteries. If I had to pick on something it would be the clamp as flimsy but even it works ok. Saw itself is fantastic. Sightline mechanism is super clever.

This is easily one of my favorite tools! Safe to use and bevels and other movements are smooth and accurate. I love that it's battery powered AND lightweight - meaning I can throw it in my backseat and drive to a lumber store and, after obtaining the boards I want, measure and cut them down to size while still in the parking lot! No more leaving the lumber supplier, with several long boards protruding from my truck windows!

Nice little saw at a phenomenal price. Allows me to cut 2x4 lumber and some trim at precise angles. Moreover, Amazon sells the version with the battery and charger for the same price that most stores sell you the bare unit. A very economical choice.

Not as precise as my corded dewalt chip saw with bevel and miter cuts but, this saw is light and easy to transport plus no cord needed makes it a decent trim saw. Don’t assume it’s accurate, check and make adjustments to dial it in. If you do buy this saw get an extra battery. With only one you have to wait for charging if it goes dead mid stream of work. It’s a good saw but it does have limitations. The blade is one of those. It can cut to a depth of about 2 3/4-3”. But if you have a standard skill saw it takes the same 7 1/4” blade.

I carry this in my service truck just for cutting small amounts of trim here and there but honestly it is pretty capable even with the small blade so I find myself pulling it out even for some bigger jobs, it really is portable, much much lighter than my big 12" dewalt and having it be battery powered is so nice. only gripe is the blade it comes with is garbage but that is always the case with any saw, they send them out with the cheapest blade possible, wish they wouldn't do that because some people will never go out and actually buy a good blade so it just makes the product come off less good than it really is. put a decent blade on this dewalt!!!

Calidad Dewalt, la utilizó mucho para ir a instalar super práctica, ya recomiendo mucho.

Muy contento con esta herramienta. La uso esporádicamente para trabajos en casa, nada de uso pesado. Muy ligera para mover, potencia suficiente. Me gustaría que tuviera topes para cortes de varias piezas a la misma medida. Y la sierra de 10 pulgadas. Pero en general muy satisfecho, estoy pensando en pronto cambiar el disco a uno de más dientes para mejores acabados.
