Great upgrade
The shocks are good. I've had them on for at least a year and a half now, and they are still smooth and consistent. They don't make your truck ride like a modern vehicle, but you can definitely tell that difference for what it was stock. I've taken the truck offroading and up the mountains in Washington State. They keep my tires planted and keep me from having whiplash.

Good all-around performance
Functions well. Like other reviews, they are a little stiff at first but loosen up after a few hundred miles. The dust boots are the biggest let down as they aren’t secured at the bottom. You have to use a zip tie which is not very effective

Refreshed my truck!
Transformed my truck! Truck feels brand new again. Super easy to install, didn’t even need to take the wheels off. Great price, hoping these last a long time.

Wrong Front Shocks for 4WD/Z71, Mismatched set
Installed the rears this morning. The shocks themselves feel great. No more bouncing from every dip in the road. However, I have never installed shocks that have the rubber accordion boots, so i'm not sure how others are secured, but these seem very gimmicky. they don't attach well on top and they only provide a zip-tie for the bottom of the boot to attach to the main body. Maybe they are all like this, i don't know, but it seems like there would be a better way. Edit: changed to 1 star. This kit is not for 4WD. The rears (RS55198) are compatible but the front set are RS55265 which are standard 2WD shocks. These do not have the travel for a Torsion bar 4WD suspension. I'm not sure if Rancho or Amazon was responsible for the "Set of 4" but it is a mismatch but I am highly disappointed. The correct front shock part # for a 4WD GMC/Chevy 1500 is RS55371. I have to get a pair of shock extensions now. You may receive the rear shocks with the boots loose and not under the bushing mounts. The only way i was able to get them to slip over the "knuckle" was to use some grease. I used a clear synthetic grease and it was still quite difficult but it can be done.

Worth the money
I put these on my 2005 Silverado extended cab z71. I’m very happy with these and recommend them for a daily driver . They are a good budget friendly middle of the road option.
