Ultra high quality workmanship and cobstruction to make a light but robust pochade. Bought for a delighted wife who paints.

I deliberated for a couple of months before making the decision to buy. It was a choice of this, a Richeson Sienna or a range of much cheaper options from Meeden. In the end it was a toss up between this large Ugo pochade or the Sienna. The cost of both are comparable by the time you buy the glass pallete and two side trays. The various reviews citing some concerns over quality inspection made me cautious but I needn’t have worried. The build and material quality is more than worth the cost. I was also worried that this might not be big enough, particularly the palette but it’s more than big enough. I’vevattached it to my old camera tripod without any issues and it feels very stable although I might still invest in a heavier tripod at a later date. It is a lot of money but well worth it. I’m in two minds whether I need to get the glass palette as it will add weight but good to know that I can easily swap it out when needed. As you can see from the photos, it has a firm grip on my acrylic paper pad. I’ll report back later once it’s been used but so far very very pleased and glad that I went with this over other options. *update* I’ve since bought the glass palette and side tray which improves and already amazing product. The glass palette adds weight but the side tray is very light. I went with K&F concept tripod in preference to Ugo branded which is £100 cheaper and higher spec.

An amazingly well made pochade! Beautiful construction, and great functionality. I think the finish is excellent - and while it is pricey, you can tell it's made of good quality materials. Easy to use - and surprisingly lightweight

Love love love this easel ....so simple to set up. Was worth having one of the additional shelves and the tripod to mount on. All fits into a small medium sized rucksack and really feel i could carry this anywhere

I have a middle sized version but feel that this large version is more suitable for plein air or indoors, offering more space for colour mixing and for fitting larger panels. Made in Buffalo and sent from there via Amazon- great service.

Finally U.Go Plaine aire arrive few days after side shelf’s. My one order was delivered by Amazon in 3 different days which was very inconvenient as I am staying in the hotel. Such a disappointment! Removable side pice badly finished / rough/ and magnetic support for side tray set so deep that has not supported the tray. Had to send this back and order another one immediately. Crazy but I had no option because I through away side trays boxes which arrive two days earlier so I am stuck with them! Otherwise I would not bother at all with U.Go! The product is very expensive but luck of quality control is shockingly dreadful!! I dream for few years of this U.Go and staying in UK finally given me the opportunity to purchase one. Today the second U.Go will arrive so I hope that would be in better condition and no need to send back. Two days left in the hotel so no time for sending back! Saying that I am disappointed it's understatement!

Spectacular!

Great pochade box! I have the 11" x 14" New Wave UGo and have been using it for several years with no complaints. It's lightweight (approx. 4lbs), fits easily on a tripod with a quick release plate and has an adequate mixing area. Comes with a removable plastic palette that can be replaced with a glass one. I use the removable side wings for additional space to hold brushes, etc. A well-made box. Would recommend.
