Nutri-Cal, High-Calorie Gel for Adult Dogs, 4.25 oz

My dogs love it and it keeps them healthy and active. I also started giving it to my daughter's dog that was not eating very well and was very picky about eating. She would try to air-bury just about anything we tried to feed her. After a couple of doses of this she started eating when and what we were giving her...whole fresh food.

Let me just say this. I've got one almost 16 year old Chihuahua Yorkie mix. I love this little girl to pieces. She's got some elevated liver values going on a few years now but supplements have helped. As she's aged, her stools are more inconsistent and she's been losing some weight and she's also become a more picky eater. So I went looking for something to supplement her calories or stimulate her appetite having no idea anything would work. The first time I offered her this she just turned her nose to it. I just laughed out loud because it's just like her. But, the next time I offered it and popped a little on her mouth before she had the chance to turn away, she gobbled it up right away and wanted more and more. Now she can't wait to lick it up. And she's also more hungry now believe it or not. This is a 100% honest review.

This Nutri-cal can practically save your pets life, it did to my chihuahua, he was lethargic and did not want to eat, this product got him up again. Highly recommended to help your dog get energy again.

I have to chichi mix small dogs. My healthy dog who eats anything didn't even like it. My dog who needs meds hated it. I'm sure it works fine but I was hoping it would help her take her meds and give her a few calories on days she skips meals. I had to put it in her mouth instead of her just licking it off of my finger with the pills. Back to natural peanut butter it is! It's pretty expensive for what it it. It has the same calories per tube as a good quality can of pate food and cost 3-4 times as much. So it's not a high calorie supplement and a few teaspons isn't very many. It's easier to digest than food for sure. It gave him an appetite after not eating 2 days, but boy was it hard to get down. He wanted to run away from it. It would take forever to get a teaspoon down if I just put it on his nose. I was trying to make things easier, not harder. Old dogs are picky!

It is a great gel for dogs, I also used small ammount diluted in water for my sick birds when I needed a quick calory and vitamin supply to give them little boost. If your animal has no appetite this one gets them hungry about 5 min after injesting. Same was for the birds but it must be highly diluted. Helped me to get the sick ones over the hump so they could get their weight and immune system back on track.

Well, most important is Peony Rose loves it as does Pretty, Pretty Albert but he’s a fat boy and doesn’t need it. I bought this for my elderly, small, terrier mix. She, as typical, of older dogs, has lost much of her underlying fat and muscle. She still loves her grub but needed some help with her weight maintenance. I give her this daily, 3 tablespoons, which is the higher dose. Once she gains some weight I’ll lower the dose. She has not had any problems with upset stomach and eagerly eats it. My big boy, a Plott Hound mix, has to, of course, get a smidge. It actually has a pleasant smell, quite malty and is a deep reddish brown color. It comes in a gel form and is easy to squeeze out of the tube. I can’t say if it working yet or not as it’s a recent addition to my little, old lady’s diet but feel it will do the trick. She’s eating it which is positive. Edit: My wee girl passed away 06/22/26. She did not gain any weight while on this product. I don’t know if it was the product failing or if Peony was just too old; 17 years is a pretty long life for a pup.

Habe die Tube eben bekommen. Mir hat überhaupt nicht gefallen,dass sie für den teuren Preis nicht gut gefüllt war. Würde sagen 2/3 nur voll. Mein Hund wiegt 23kg.braucht dann also ca. 7 Teelöffel. Mit der Tube komme ich sicherlich wenn überhaupt nur ne Woche aus.

Spike is a very fussy eater and yet he survives on a very minimal amount of food daily. This Nutri cal works well with him, giving him more energy and he started to enjoy food more.

Helped a tiny bit for my sick dog. Helped keep her getting more calories and she loved the taste, when she was very fussy towards the end
