Take item out of box. Set item on floor. Set guitar on item. DONE. My guitar looks so nice sitting next to the piano, safe and sound on its new little stand "home." Set-up couldn't be easier unless my UPS guy had opened the box and pulled it out FOR me - haha. I'm not worried about the back of my guitar getting scratched a little because I'm a 62-yrs young grandma and handle my items pretty gently. If I were a young rock 'n roll whippersnapper that tended to half "throw" the guitar back on the stand, I would probably think about gluing a small piece of felt to the part of the stand that could cause a scratch. Other than that TINY issue, there is no down side here that I can see. It's wekk made, sturdy, does what it's supposed to do and does it very well.
