Bed Bug Barrier Mattress Cover Full Size

Work fine at keeping bed bugs inside so they can't get out and die. Work fine for keeping new bed bugs from getting in and finding a place to hide. However, I would not recommend washing these or taking them off, EVER. Or at least for a year when you can be SURE that the bed bugs are completely gone (they can live a long time without eating). The reason is that the material (while functional) is quite delicate and will tear if you fuss with it too much. We have had these on for nearly a year and are about to take them off. We learned our lesson not to mess with them though at the beginning because we tore two of them and had to throw them away. Bought new ones and left them alone - no problems.You do get what you pay for, but so long as you are gentle with these then they won't be a problem.We also bought a water-proof mattress pad for bed wetting to put on top of these (just the top - not full mattress wraps) and using the two in conjunction has been a perfect solution for us.NOTE: If you have bed bugs - you will definitely need this item, but hire a PROFESSIONAL to come out to get rid of them permanently. A combination of cold treatment (compressed CO2), bug powder (Diatomaceous Earth), and chemical spray (rubbing alcohol kills on contact but evaporates fast - Temprid Sc Insecticide stays around for the long haul) works the best but should only be used by pros. Bed bugs are VERY resilient, hide well, and live for a LONG time without a meal, and without the right tools AND KNOWLEDGE you will not be able to get rid of them. Spend the money on a pro who guarantees their work with a warranty. It is well worth the money.

Product worked fine for me. I have a full-sized pillow top mattress and it fit well with some room on the sides for the material to hang off (which I'm not a fan of but at least they fit!!). The material is not thick, but I'm ok with that. They're not waterproofing I don't think but I didnt buy them for that and I had mold grow in my old apartment and it kept that from getting into/on my mattress!!{{HUGE TIP for people with bedbugs (i got rid of mines this way!) : Remove your covers/sheets/pillows and SPRAY your entire mattress, boxspring, and bed frame with straight rubbing alcohol. This will kill any bedbugs and bedbug eggs. Then [I] used these covers and covered both my mattress and boxspring (now the bedbugs can't get to you and it takes them a year to die!). Wash or replace your sheets/covers/pillows (if you wash them do it in HOT water!). Vacuum or sweep the area under and around your bed. USE DOUBLE SIDED TAPE and create a barrier around the frame of your bed so the bedbugs cannot crawl back into the bed with you. That's it, you beat the bedbugs without that disgusting spray and/or an exterminator. Of course depending on how bad your infestation is, you may need to wash clothes in your room/house and vacuum/sweep all floors,etc. :) }}

Bed bugs had cleared before this arrived, why, I don't know exactly why they left that fast (probably because of the mattress Frame that I bought through Amazon and residence maintenance sprayed it twice for bed bugs). It was a horror story gone wrong but it made me very happy to be bed bug free again. Nevertheless, I debated returning the Mattress Cover but opted to keep it because I needed one anyway. Turns out it's the most comfortable mattress cover I've owned. I read a review that it feels like paper to them, but it's not stiff like paper would be. I do try to be careful not to tear it while putting it on my mattress though. It fits completely around my mattress.- I had to lower my rating because even though I did like it, it wore out much quicker than a linen cover would. But then, my bed bugs disappeared quickly so I really didn't need this cover anymore.

I read a lot of bad - and confused - reviews about this product - flimsy material, inadequate "coverage" etc...I just recd it and tried it out so here is my assessment --- For FULL size mattress - and the product is a nice fit...not too tight...-- MATERIAL - I thought seemed sturdy enough - not flimsy at all...while using it at no stage did I feel it would tear or rip-off...-- DESIGN - basically think of it as a "case" for your mattress - the case has a zippered opening at the end. So once you've slid the mattress into it, endways, you just zip it up and the COMPLETE mattress is encased...just like a zippered pillow-case, perhaps... I am happy I got this - serves my purpose ncely!

This works great but I noticed that it is starting to pull apart a bit where I sleep but I do toss and turn a lot! If you have cats or dogs with sharp claws go to the hardware store and buy some duct tape and painter's plastic. Put the covers on and then wrap your box spring in plastic. The cats clawed mine and the bed bugs just moved right on in again. I wrapped the box spring in plastic after emptying half a can of RAID into the box spring and the bugs died. Plus for some reason the cats don't scratch at the plastic.

I bought two of these covers as I have a Box and Mattress. I find these covers to be a great value for the money. I don't have Bed Bugs, but live in the City in a Multiple Level Dwelling. I didn't want to take a chance since there had been a breakout on a bottom unit! I feel very secure as I sleep now... The only reason I gave it a 4 rating, is because both covers fit very loosely. I thought I had pretty thick mattresses, but mine are swimming. Oh well, I guess I'll Live. Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase. If I wanted luxury, I would have had to pay luxury moneywhich I don't have. They seem to be made fairly well. I sleep very well, I don't notice them being on the bed.

I have put this item on every bed in the house. So far so good, after reading other reviews about tearing, I must say, I was a little nervous. This item went on good with no tears. Havent been using long, so I hope the precautions I'm using will keep bed bugs out of me and my kids life. So I will recommend buying this product.
