So worth the price…..
I had the original one when it first came out years ago. The reservoir has recently become completely cracked and unusable. I have replaced the old machine with the new one which has a better quality reservoir that doesn’t need to be lifted out of sitting position, just the lid needs lifting to refill with water. New ones considerably lighter and more compact and is a gloss finish rather than metal and matt plastic that the other one is made out of. Definitely not as sturdy as the original but half the price of the original. No side button like the original but a side light turns green to tell you the unit is ready to go. Love the fact it has a simple manual lever for hot or cold drinks. Because it is so simple it has less to go wrong with it. Just like the original. If I get as many years out of it as I did the first I will be a very happy customer…. Superb coffee. And so many varieties of drink pods are available for it. Thank you.

Easy Creamy: Dolce Gusto Picollo Coffee Maker
My review is on the efficiency and helpful working details of this particular pod model and includes tips on some extra possibilities. The Dolce Gusto Picollo is very petite and pretty. Notes for this model: It's very easy to use. The water container is enough for two medium cups. It doesn't use the timing code on the pods which means it's not automatic so you must remember to turn it off when it reaches your desired cup level. A tray underneath would be good in case you or an older loved one forget to turn it off. When not in use it shuts off after a minute. It's important that the light is green before you lift the pod lid. After I first plugged it in I thought it wasn't working as the light didn't light up. It only does this AFTER you lift the lid to take out the pod container. It uses a 10a fuse but a 13a is OK. Mine had a three pin plug. Clean it before you start by filling the container with water then pressing the switch to the left for cold water approx. for one cup, stop, then press to the right for hot and fill the cup. I just poured water into the container in situ rather than removing it first. When you do lift off the water container remember to rinse underneath gently so that in time it won't turn green. My photo is a cup of tea from the Gusto. I put TWO t-bags into a reused pod and then poured some milk from the fridge. It was less bitter and I found I used less sugar and milk. However, I did use bottled water as it's supposed to make it tastier and prolong the life of the machine. I also made a Starbucks Cappuccino, and a Nestle hot chocolate. Good froth/crema and hot. The froth is created by a filter and high pressure within the machine: inserting a milk pod creates a froth on the milk; inserting a coffee pod creates a crema. I was thinking about making a bespoke tea cosy for the machine, a cute hat, as the motor was loud but it was quick. Extras: I'm considering buying reusable pods, but they do leak a little. A 'Tamper' is used to pack the grounds evenly for a quality shot - Barista's style. I can't wait to get me one of those! A set of double walled glass mugs would be lovely. You can chose one with handles or without as they are insulated. I can't decide between the stand up pod holder or the drawer type which can be put under the machine. I discovered I can buy cheaper milk pods and hot chocolate pods with generic names on Amazon and save a lot. There are cold fruity pods too. A good idea if you are leaving a cup ready under the machine is to turn it upside down. Wondering too what instant coffee would taste like given the Gusto treatment lol. Soooo many choices since finding this handy little machine. Including p/p and voucher it was only €31.16. My new fav gadget.

Compact machine that makes great coffee quickly
This little coffee machine has completely replaced my old kettle and instant coffee combo. It’s compact enough to fit on even a crowded countertop and looks great with its red and black finish. Using it is straightforward: just pop in a pod, move the lever, and within seconds you’ve got a hot cup of coffee with a nice crema on top. Although it’s manual rather than automatic, I like having control over the water volume. It lets me tweak each drink to suit my taste, especially for stronger coffees or smaller cappuccinos. I’ve tried several pod flavours and they all taste consistently good. Cleaning is simple, just a quick rinse of the tray and drip holder every few uses. It’s ideal for one or two people and doesn’t use much electricity. You don’t get milk frothing or any extra bells and whistles, but if all you want is great coffee fast, this is a solid little machine The only reason for a 4-star instead of 5 is the fact that it does not come with an automatic timer for dispensing coffee and milk pods. This small feature makes it even easier to make coffee, and for the price, you could go with one of their other brands that have this feature for a similar price point. So, bear this in mind as you will need to count how long the pods have been dispensing. For example, a cappuccino coffee pod would be 10 seconds, and the milk pod 30 seconds.

Great coffee pod machine.
Really good coffee pod machine, easy to use and delivers great coffee. It takes up very little room and only requires cleaning every now and then to keep in tip top condition. This is the second one we have had. The first one lasted about five years of daily use before giving up the ghost and is great value for money Would certainly recommend.

Great
Great coffee maker and so small it hardly takes up any room which is excellent for me as I don't have a big kitchen.

Good coffee, didn’t last long
Really like the coffee and great machine. However, uses a lot of pods that are not easily recycled and broke after 18 months

Unreliable
Sometimes the main nozzle clogs, even in a soft water area, and you have to clear it with the special tool (provided, but hidden). The supplied "Get Me Started" guide doesn't tell you this, but you can download an additional manual to find out. The supplied maintenance instructions say "Clean the appliance only using soft sponges/brushes" and "do not put anything into openings." This is misleading. You have to poke the special tool into the nozzle in order to unclog it. Sometimes a pod clogs, and then you have to bin it and try a new pod.

Stopped Working
It stopped working after 2-3 uses, the machine does not catch current from the plug once plugged in.

That the item has the correct electric plug for the area.
My coffee Maker came with a electric plug not suitable for Australian electricity units.
