Good quality product
The product is good quality, better than many others in the market ! However, for the cost of this product, I have higher expectations. The contacts inside the body are okay, could have been thicker and more sturdy. The body is not classic Bakelite, it seems like some composite material. The body thickness is on the higher side. The body height could have been lesser. The round pins/poles which mate with the socket on the wall-power-point, can be made as deep-flanged, this will add spring action, resulting in a snug fit into the board; this will have the poles make a firm positive contact with the wall-plug female socket counterpart, and prevent any sparking due to loose contact, present ones have fixed poles. The makers should work to improve the material of the pole, present one seems prone to cracking if flange gap is attempted to be widened. Overall, a good product, does serve the purpose.

Great product - UK to India
This is my 2nd purchases from REI. I am very satisfied with the connector. It was a perfect match for all my UK power supply plugs (Mobile charger, Laptop charger etc.) Also, their was no spark, which was occuring when I was using Cona before using REI.

Faulty product
Once I ordered and the item didn't work well. There was no option for return. Replaced and still not working. WHY NO OPTION TO RETURN?

Average product
Dossapointing. Hard to insert the device adaptor into it. This one has 10 A capacity but the pins are very close together and best can be used for laptop charging only. Also doesn't seem like a solid quality.

Leave it to the Swiss
We were taking a load of video equipment to Switzerland and discovered that in an excess of protectionism, the Swiss wall outlets are different from those of all the rest of the world. Nothing else will work in them. Since we had lots of battery packs to recharge every night, I bought a packet of six of them. (Anyone wonder why they come in packs of six? Who needs six plug adaptors???) They work fine. Just plug it into the 3-hole outlet and plug your American plug into it and you're good to go. The pins hold nice and tight, so even a heavy industrial plug will hold securely. We didn't use them enough to have them break on us, so I can't speak to that complaint, but they worked fine for us. But if they break so easily, maybe that's why you get six to a pack...? Anyway, moving beyond my irritation with the Swiss for making this purchase necessary, and given that it's pretty hard to get excited about an electrical plug, I'm pleased with it.

Switzerland has to be different! Be prepared!
This universal plug is good in Switzerland and allows 1 American (2 parallel blades) and 1 European (2 round pins) plug to be plugged into it. In our recent trip to Switzerland, this adapter worked just great. One example: at night, we plugged my phone charger into the American plug on this dual adapter, and my CPAP into a European adapter plugged into this adapter. Alert! This is not a converter! It is an adapter. When traveling in Switzerland, you may plug chargers and other appliances into it that will take the 250 watts that comes from their outlets or adjust to it. I wish I had bought more than one. We got by but had to be creative! You can also get single adapters in packages of three. Not a bad options for Americans.

... this type of adapter and I think they're the best on the market
I have several of this type of adapter and I think they're the best on the market. They are light, seem very well made (no sparks, exposed hot points, sturdy) and allow two devices to be plugged in at one time. This is very handy in hotels overseas where sometimes there's only one outlet to use. Lastly they're not too expensive so if one gets lost, it's not a big deal to replace.

What the heck, Europe?
The adapter worked well. Nothing caught on fire or anything, whaddya want? But more importantly, what is up with Europe? They can form a mostly-unified governmental framework, but they can't standardize their outlets any better than this? I had to bring a bag of adapters the size of my head...

Worked perfectly in Switzerland with dual voltage devices
I bought 2 of these Type J electrical adapters for my trip to Switzerland. They plugged into the Swiss electrical receptacles and performed perfectly on my trip. My husband and I had no trouble using these adapters to charge our Android smart phones, Android tablets and and iPad 2 and iPad mini tablets. I also used the adapter to plug in my dual voltage curling iron. My only regret was that I only bought 2 of these adapters. I should have purchased 4 because we were constantly juggling our 2 adapters to keep everything charged up. Please note that this is NOT a voltage converter. If you need to plug in a U.S. device that is NOT dual voltage, you'll need to buy a voltage converter in addition to this adapter.
