These are terrible and a total waste of money. The whites of the pencil crumble and break but that would be ok if they actually worked, of which they do not. I followed the directions to wet the pencil and when that didn’t make a difference to the nail, I tried wetting the nails and literally soaking the pencil but still, nothing. Doesn’t work dry either. This product makes absolutely no difference in whitening under the nail. Nada. Zilch. Don’t waste your money! (If you’re lucky enough to still possess one of the old Sally Hansen or Revlon nail whitening pencils, cherish it like like gold it is!)

I am so pleased with this nail white pencil. The white stays under my nails through numerous hand washing throughout the day, and works just as well as the Revlon brand did in days gone by. After each use, I leave the cap OFF until the white of the pencil is completely dry so as not to break the point of the pencil. I intend to order a couple more of this brand. Updated: March 13, 2013. These nail whitener pencils still work very well. I have a small herd of previously-orphaned kitty-kats, and I wash my hands a great deal after picking the cats up or holding them. This morning, as usual, I washed my hands and applied the nail whitener, and after having already washed my hands several times today, the nail whitener still coats the under part of my nails. Now that flu season is here, i wash my hands thoroughly for about 20 seconds each time, and the tips of my nails still look white. I cannot understand why anyone would have problems using this product.

The reviews were accurate but I really wanted to try this anyway. It was okay, but it crumbles a bit, and is hard to use on very short nails. As others have mentioned, it does not last, but I did like the look and will use for occasions that my nails need to look a little nicer.

Use underneath nail to whiten. These were used many years ago and still work.

Doesn’t work very well. I had purchased this brand at a store that worked great that’s why I purchased these. Store no longer carries them. I think maybe they were old. I was disappointed.

Great quality nail pencil.

The product works a little better than the other brand on Amazon. However, its only slightly better. The led of the pencil has a waxy consistency. It softens up when wet but the led is very brittle and hard to use. The description and display showed a package of two pencils. However, only one pencil was received. Not a good value.

Does not whiten under nails, just crumbles to nothing when you try and use it. Had to be sharpen several times just for one pass under nails.
