The elastic in the hat (that allows it to be "one size fits all") makes the hat king of poof out and look like a mushroom head. I purchased a different hat (made by Epoch) for just a few dollars more, at the same time. The difference is like comparing a rock to a pristine diamond. For just a few dollars more, the other hat is 100% wool and fits perfectly. When side by side, there is no comparison. This fits great. It was a little tight the very first day, but it has an elastic strap in the back and it broke in quite nicely over the course of a week. It's 100% linen, not extremely fine but decent enough quality. This is made by "Wonderful Fashion" and I really like the cut of this newsboy cap - it has the extra fabric and "poofy" quality that I see in the old-timey photos. I originally got the "putty" and liked it so much I got another in dark gray - at this price I couldn't resist.
