Just the right amount of base
I don’t think you could get a better sounding subwoofer in this price range with a built in amp that sounds this good. I have never installed a subwoofer in my life but the installation was a piece of cake. It’s just the right amount of base for my extended cab Silverado. You can feel the vibration in your chest for sure but it won’t rattle your truck apart or piss off the whole neighborhood it hits hard and sounds clean I would buy another one of these in a heartbeat the sound quality and performance is better than expected and once you break it in, it actually starts sounding even better.

Hands Down Best Bang For Buck!!
I have to say, I have installed many many different kinds of systems in multiple types of vehicles, mainly my personal ones and for my own self listening pleasure. I also DJ professionally, mobile with my own sound equipment. so when it comes to sound in general, I've become a little picky. As of late, I purchased a old 96 GMC pickup truck, single cab to push around as my daily, hooptie/ project truck. I was looking for something on the cheaper side to add some extra bass because I bought the truck with an aftermarket head unit but with the basic speakers. I was going to look at installing 8inch under seat options for added bass but I ran into this unit in my searching and decided to give it a shot. Bigger cone, bigger driver, a little more power, RMS output and slim enough package to fit. Now clearly if your looking to purchase for a car, utilizing it in the trunk space or even for like an extended cab truck, I'm not entirely sure you will get the same experience BUT! if you have a single cab pick up truck and enough room behind your seats, as I have placed mine, this will absolutely Rock your entire interior out! This hands down, is the absolute best bang for your buck, or at least from what I have tried and run across. especially if your a bass head like myself. So much so, when playing certain genres of music I have to turn it down. I simply couldn't imagine that this 10inch complete system with a built in amp would deliver this much power sound & quality. I've had it for about 2 weeks now at the time of this review, I can't say I'm quite at the break-in period just yet but I'm pretty sure it won't have any issues. The quality is great all the way around & installation is easy plus it looks cool! so, if your even a little bit curious on running one of these with a similar placement and acoustic scenario, I highly recommend purchasing this unit.

Great sound, fits with space to spare, satisfied
This thing is awesome once you get it working, I'm a first time installer and had to tinker for about a week to get everything working. It's great size that fits in the back of my jeep renegade long ways so the speaker is facing towards the passenger side and fits perfectly. The sound and output are incredible and more than meet my deep bass sound wishes... It's not gonna rattle windows but other cars will hear you in parking lots and people will hear you in quiet neighborhoods. If you're looking for an easy install and something that will scratch your bass itch but not rattle your car to pieces and will fit into your small SUV or car or truck with space to spare then this is absolutely what you're looking for. Satisfied 40 year old here.

Good sound BUT amp gets hot and trips thermal breaker constantly **SOLVED**
***SEE UPDATES FURTHER DOWN REGARDING THE FIX FOR THERMAL BREAKER ISSUE*** This sub sounds good for the money, it's not quite my JL system in one of my other cars but it's pretty darn close. I bought this after I helped install one in my buddy pathfinder and was impressed with its sound quality. Unfortunately both his and mine are having an issue where they are tripping an internal thermal breaker on the amp because the amp gets too hot. There is no cooling on the amp board as it's internal to the sealed box and there are no heat sinks on the outside to shed the heat. It's unfortunate because otherwise, this sub is excellent. I don't think sending it back for a replacement would make a difference because it's obviously a design issue with how they laid out the board and the lack of cooling. I might try adding some surface mount heat sinks to the outside face of the amp board to see if that'll help. 1st UPDATE - 10.17.2022: I solved the overheating issue super easily. First I inspected the situation, I took the amp out of the box and was surprised to see that the amp is in its own compartment, meaning they sealed the sub enclosure internally between the electronics and the woofer. This means the amp side of the box can easily be vented, I drilled (3) 3/4" holes at the top and bottom of the box. The heat generated from the amp creates a natural convection that draws cooler air in the bottom and exhausts the hot air out the top. Since I've done this it hasn't overheated once. Now if you wanted to go one step further it wouldn't be hard to add a computer case fan to the intake or exhaust hole to power vent the space. Not sure why Rockville didn't provide venting for this side of the box, it seems like an oversight. The amp has two MASSIVE heat sinks on it but all that does is heat up the space inside the box as its not vented so the heat can't escape. Drilled the holes and Voila. I've added a star to my review as they should've vented it from the factory but it's an easy fix and the sub still sounds great. 2nd UPDATE - 8.8.2023: Since venting the amplifier side of the box I have not had a single case where it tripped its thermal breaker/protection mode. So safe to say it's fixed, if you buy this sub you really ought to do this mod.

It’s perfect.
I love this sub. I have it set up for downward fire in my 2005 Silverado. Hard to explain but it’s not a perfect fit only if I have it downward fire. In the position under the back seat of my extended cab. Let it break in and you’ll be so happy. Sounds perfect and I have installed so many speakers in my life. For the price! Sounds high dollar. This will not break windows but you will fill it in your back and bottom. Not sure how it would be in a trunk but for a suv, truck, hatch back, station wagon- you’ll be set. This is the 10 inch im talking about. This sounds best for rock, country, everything but rap. But yes this does sound good for rap as well though you should look at a 12 for rap. Very happy with no issues at all. Just take it easy on it till it breaks in.

4-2-24 Dident work right out of the box
Got the item 1 hour ago wiring is all brand new professionally installed hooked it up lights up the thing barely even vibrates you can't hear It at all. All settings on the radio are proper all wiring is proper this thing is a piece of garbage, don't waste your time.. Waited like 2 weeks to get it now I gotta wait for them to get it back.trash.. I even called their Tech Support it's overseas the lady tried to camouflage her voice no offense to her but there was no one from Tech Support available when she tried to get some help. Unless they're gonna pop out of the phone and give me a new one on the spot the Thing obviously didn't get any type of quality control or testing. Now I got a haul it around repack at print labels bring It to Amazon pain in my butt, they need to pay me for this work.

Great bang for your buck!
Great bang for your buck! Pun intended lol. Sounds awesome. Easy replacement from previous amp/sub combo. You will need power, ground and remote/ignition control wire to install. Aftermarket radio will need the audio cable from head unit also.

Read some reviews how this sub was garbage. Well don't listen to the reviews you see
Let's start by saying I did a lot of research into this system. Read some reviews how this sub was garbage. Well don't listen to the reviews you see. This sub is perfect for a truck or sedan. Hits hard and has enough bass to rattle the windows. Highly recommended anyone to anyone looking to upgrade there stock radio. Can't beat the price

You get what you pay for
Performance was very underwhelming. Other posters noted that it was powerful enough for a small car, if pop rock is your thing then maybe. But for edm or metal it’s going to leave you wanting more. For a coupe or small cab truck or under the seat it might be good enough. But in the trunk of a full sized sedan it’s barely noticeable at the driver seat. Nothing wrong with the product, in fact installation was great and working with the amp panel is very accessible. I just overestimated the product and bought the wrong thing, and probably don’t like the sound of sealed enclosed subs. So I upgraded to the JBL bass pro and have zero regrets. Thank you for amazons return policy and therefore 4 stars for a cheap product that is worth the price tag that delivers respectively.

Cant beat the value here!
Really solid unit, and excellent value for the price. It gives my 08 Silverado the pump I have always been looking for and it fits nicely under the back seat. The built in amp has not overheated (which I read some people may have had a problem with), and it produces a decent sound. I listen to hard deep techno and this sounds fantastic, sounds great with rock and country too.
