Most of the clocks sold today claim to be made of solid wood but they're really made of simulated wood plastic. They're also very expensive & full of unnecesary gimmicks. So I decided if you can't beat them,join them & I opted for this wonderful great value for money clock with a metal surround that has no silly gimmicks.It still looks quite traditional though with a cream facia & a wonderful silent sweeping second hand,thoroughly recommended.

The size was also ideal for the space I needed it to be. So far, I believe that it is worth the investment.
