Show is one of the best shows on T.V. and shows no sign of slowing down with a virtually all new cast.  What I most admire is how the handle sexism and racism without putting a modern spin on it.  The people smoke, especially the doctors, and they treat people according to gender but you can feel the future beginning to happen.  The episode about the man kissing a man in a public toilet was heart breaking but it ended as well as it could and you saw where Britain and the rest of the world was going.  My wife and I both commented on how wonderful the nuns and the lay mid wives interact and it feels like a toast to an early non nameable feminism.  If you have not watched this show begin at the beginning and catch up for this is TV at its finest

My heart never stops wrenching when I watch an episode of CTM, and this season is no exception. I enjoy the new members of the cast very much, but must admit I miss Chummy and hope she re-enters as some point. I adore Sister Monica-Jones and am so happy she keeps hanging in there. British TV has turned me into yet another Anglophile - embarrassing, I know , but seriously, there is no better TV anywhere on the globe. Thank you PBS, Netflix, Amazon Prime for fanning the love affair.

"Call the Midwife" is the type of show I can watch over and over again, and never tire of. This show is unique, and well written. As for Season 4, I wasn't sure I would like the newer cast, but they have proved themselves worthy of this fabulous show. As an American, this is by far my favorite BBC production to date.
