I love this little Weber Grill! It was fairly easy to assemble, and I quickly figured out how to operate it. I was surprised by how lightweight it is, making it easy for me to carry, and move around. The two folding side tables are very convenient, and I really like having the built-in the thermometer and push-button ignition. Although the grill is compact, it held much more chicken than I expected, and Everything cooked beautifully. One small warning: grilling can get a little messy, so don’t wear your favorite shirt while cooking! That certainly isn’t a dealbreaker for me. This is the perfect little grill, and I can’t wait to cook more meals and try vegetables on it. One tip from my first use: watch the temperature while preheating and be sure to lightly oil the cooking grates or the food before grilling. Mine reached about 600 F, and some of the chicken stuck to the greats and made cleanup more difficult. Next time, I’ll start at a lower temperature and use a little more oil to make cleanup easier.

Why oh why have I been using a giant clunky and incredibly difficult to move grill for so long? This grill is a total winner. I bought it for our family campout. I've been using the usual "camp stove" for years but really wanted something that I could use camping and at home for cooking and for grilling- all in one item. I have found it with this Weber Grill. The Grill itself: - The 2 grates fit perfectly in the space provided. They are very easy to remove and clean. - The 2 side "shelves" are just the right size to fit utensils or a plate to hold grilling supplies on. Then, after you are finished grilling, after the grill cools down and you've cleaned it up, you can just fold the 2 shelves on top of the grates. - The lid closes well over the grates and side shelves into a nice, clean-looking, and easy-to-store shape. The side handles aren't as easy to grip as I'd like when the lid is closed but it is still easy enough for me to readily pick up the grill and tuck it away in my garage. I also really like the thermometer on the lid to help me keep track of how hot my grill is getting. - I use the smaller green propane canisters (like what you use on a camp stove) and they are easy to screw into place. What fits on the grill? - I've never made more than 6 burgers at a time but had room left over on grates for more - two 2 qt. saucepans at the same time. (just right on top of the grates). To get water to boil more quickly, I close the lid on the BBQ right over the saucepans- doesn't close completely but really helps keep heat in) - one 2 qt. saucepan & a 10" Lodge skillet. I'm sure you can come up with many more uses. What do I wish I had bought also? - The griddle top that replaces one of the grates- next on my list to buy. - Connector & hose for a propane tank like you use on larger BBQ's What did I also buy and was it a good idea? - more green propane canisters (like the ones used for camp stoves)- a good idea because I use this for camping and it is lightweight enough for me to use easily. - The Chain-mail scraper. It's a smallish scrap of stainless steel chain mail that you use to scrub off stuck-on food after everything is cooled off (designed for cast iron skillets). Loved it! Easy to clean. Easy to use. - Grill Cover. Yes it's a good item because it keeps the grill nice and clean (I appreciate this at home) but for camping, I just left the BBQ sitting on the end of the picnic table with the lid closed. The red color looks great and our campsite still looked neater than everyone else around us. - Small aluminum trays to put under the grates- special place for it designed into the Weber Grill. Easy to use. Use to put and keep in place. For the price, it was worthwhile to order it and have them available whenever I wanted them rather than trying to track them down at the local Dollar Store. Not even sure if they carry that size. One of the highlights? I no longer keep my BBQ outside in the elements like I used to because now, it is so easy to keep it stored in the garage (or would be fine to store indoors... if I had room)

I've had one of these little webers in the past and ended up throwing it away. I went through three regulators! I had a different small grill and didn't like it and decided to try another Weber. So far so good, it really works great and cooks well. Certainly not the cheapest small grill.

I bought this for camping trips when I might have a few more people with me (normally I'm a solo camper). I wanted something that was a proper "grill" that I could throw steaks on or whatever, but something that was still reasonably portable. I've had a larger model in the past that I liked until its regulator stopped working so I looked at their offerings again and saw there was a smaller one and grabbed it. It got its first use this weekend and I loved having it. It ignites easily, heats consistently, it was just a joy to use. It is still relatively "bulky" for a camping trip but worth the trade off. We couldn't light a fire during that trip and I didn't feel like jacking with a charcoal grill. I was a bit overconfident about its "non stick" properties, and honestly just forgot to apply any kind of oil to the grates. Things stuck. I saved cleaning for home and it looks like it'll clean up quickly. I bet that'll go better after more uses and not forgetting at least some kind of oil. The high dome lid of it makes it a bulky item, even this smaller size, but I can see its value if I want to cook something tall in it or even bake in it. I didn't do either, but in that one round I could see its potential for it. I love the electric ignition. Totally unnecessary but it was just very nice not having to seek out a lighter or mess with that. The grates all seemed like they had a consistent temp across them after it warmed up a bit. It heated up fast. At least the grates did. The temp reading in the dome was always a bit low but it was 15F outside and I didn't preheat it for long. I was grilling, not baking. It's built like a freaking tank. Almost forgot, careful on packing it up. Remove the dang bottle. I bought a case for it and I guess when I loaded it up the knob rotated. My vehicle smelled like propane for a while. I can't feel any kind of "stop" in the knob so any bump or rub on it can turn it. Honestly I bet this is in the instructions somewhere. "don't store/transport with a bottle connected, dummy". I don't fault the device for that. Pure user error. Glad I didn't blow myself up. I'm happy to have it in my kit as an option.

I know there's already a ton of five star reviews, I will just add a few specifics I didn't notice in the many that I read (and address the lower rating reviews as well). This grill DOES take the standard 16.4 ounce tanks you can find anywhere (Coleman etc). A few reviews said it requires a special tank, this was either incorrect or the grill has since been changed to accommodate them. This grill doesn't get hot enough...if you are using it as a portable crematorium. Otherwise, it takes about ten minutes to get to 420+ degrees with lid down. My first time using it I grilled up a nearly two inch thick NY strip. Came out perfect, medium rare. Second time I grilled two of them, they came out perfect. Third time I roasted a two pound tri-tip right on the grill plate (no accessories yet). That came out perfect as well - I took pictures of all three but Amazon won't let me post pics for some reason. Trust me. Perfect. The tri tip was the test, I mostly grill steak and was worried it wouldn't handle a thick cut like that. The trick (I learned quickly), get it hot! Let the grill get to 420-450 with kid closed, sear for two minutes on each side and then kick the heat to half way or 3/4 open on the tri tip, keep an eye on it (finger tardy) for doneness. Easy to get great results with this grill. I am camping/living/traveling out of my Subaru so portability and ease of use was essential. This fits fine on the back seat, snug against the back of the passenger seat. It cools off in five minutes or so enough that I can cook up lunch and load it back into the car by the one I've finished sealing up my food for the day. The only downside is the regulator sits right up against the underside of one of the handles. I can't get my fingers under it. Minor flaw, still easy to carry but seems like it could be improved. Other flaw is the fold out trays are not designed to use as cutting boards. After three uses I have knife scars all acros one side. Not a big deal but would like to see that made if something that you can carve meat on for maximum efficiency (so I don't have to add cutting board to the grill kit). And ideally it would be 20% smaller for my needs.Otherwise it is perfect for mobile cooking, easy to clean, well designed, flawless steaks every time. Get one!

wasn’t sure the Weber Q1200 was worth the higher price tag, but after using it for a while, I can say it absolutely delivers. Heat distribution is even, startup is reliable, and fuel efficiency is better than expected for a grill this size. It does take about 15–20 minutes to reach its peak temperature of around 500–550°F, but once it gets there, it maintains heat very consistently. Portability is another strong point. The overall weight is manageable, the design is straightforward, and assembly took only a few minutes. This makes it ideal for camping, tailgating, or smaller back-patio setups. The only real drawback is the price. It’s definitely on the higher end of the portable-grill category, but the quality and performance justify the cost in my experience. Overall, the Q1200 is a well-engineered, reliable grill that’s perfect for couples or small families. If you’re looking for something long-lasting and truly portable, this is an excellent choice.

Excellent but missing connection for large propane tank

Great little bbq. Used it with our motor home had some problem with the grill rusting contacted Weber and they replaced with no problem. Highly recommend this bbq or any Webber.

Very portable. Lots of heat. Cook area a bit small. Works well with cart. Igniter great. Cleans well

This grill works really well and gets hot fast. Food cooks evenly and the size is perfect for patios or taking camping. It feels solid and well made, not flimsy like some portable grills. Easy to clean and very reliable. Would definitely buy it again.
