Burt's Bees Baby Lotion for Sensitive Skin, Nourishing and Hypoallergenic Lotion with Shea Butter, Original Scent, 99% Natural Origin, 12 Oz

This is my favorite baby lotion! We keep coming back to it. I like the original scent a lot, and it has become a new 'baby smell' in my brain instead of the powder scent in many products. I also really like the more liquid consistency...it makes spreading it on and using it to massage my little one a lot easier than some of the thicker lotions. It keeps my baby's skin soft, moist without being sticky, and smelling great! *If you buy this product in the 'Calming' scent...it is pretty strong and herbal (lavender is really strong). It was way too strong and I didn't like it at first...got used to it as we finished the bottle, but ultimately came back to the original scent. **IF YOU BUY THE FRAGRANCE-FREE version....please understand that fragrance-free does not mean unscented. By their nature, the ingredients in Burt's Bees and other 'natural' brands will have scents...almonds, lavender, vanilla, oats, etc. all have smells that will be in those products. Fragrance-free in this context means they didn't add any 'parfums' or products JUST to have it scented and that they have tried to limit the ingredients to minimize smell. The fragrance-free formula smells a little odd and woody/nutty to me. Other than the differences in scents, I haven't noticed a difference in the consistency or performance of the lotions.

I'm going to let you in on a little secret. I "borrow" this lotion from my daughter to fix my own dry skin. Before becoming a parent, I though Burt's Bee's was lip balm. I was wrong. Burt's Bees has a range of skin care products for men, women, and children. I was using Johnson's baby lotion, but my mother in law brought a bottle of this lotion and I haven't looked back. It's wonderful. The lotion itself is thick, creamy and it's not greasy at all. A little goes a long way. It soaks into the skin quickly without leaving a sticky residue. It smells sweet, not quite like honey, but definitely no like the traditional baby lotion. It's pleasant and it's not overwhelming (even when I have a migraine). I use this lotion for baby before bed and after baths. It keeps her skin soft and smooth. With the Johnson's, she still got dry patches on her back and legs. That's all better with the Burt's Bees. I love this stuff on my own hands as well. It combats winter dryness and the wear and tear of daily life. How did I not know about this stuff before. This is the top of my subscribe and save list.

Nice scent and a bit light but moisturizing enough for the summer and the fall. It keeps the skin hydrated and soothed overnight.

This gentle lotion makes my baby smell sooo good. Other people comment on how good he smells. I love this lotion. I use the Burt’s Bees baby soap, and shampoo too.

I've liked the Burt's Bees products I've used so far (chapstick and hand lotion) so I thought I'd try this lotion since I have sensitive skin and most lotions irritate me. Right off the bat I noticed the spout is so sticky like it had tape on it before and the sticky residue got left behind. It had no seal or anything on it. Then I go to try it and the pump doesn't work. Sigh. So I twist the top off and noticed the bottle is only full above the halfway point..... Very disappointing... I pull the straw up to try the lotion and the smell is awful. It smells like my dog after I bath her. I bought this along with a Neutrogena gel lotion to try them both. Neutrogena wins by a long shot. The arm with Burt's Bees is sticky and smells bad lol The arm with the Neutrogena lotion is smooth and actually smells really nice. I would not recommend this Burt's Bees lotion ever.
