My biceps measures between 9.5 and 10 inches when not flexed. I decided to purchase size small. They are snug at the biceps but not uncomfortable so. The sleeves do not roll or ride down the arm during ordinary activities. I do not like the thumb opening and the part of the sleeve that covers the hand. After a while, the web between my thumb and forefinger becomes chafed (reason for a 4 rather than 5 star rating). So, sometimes I roll this part of the sleeve over my wrist. Looking at other reviews, I suggest not machine washing or drying.
