BPA Free Tritan Wide Mouth Water Bottle, 32 Oz, Gray with Black Lid

Everywhere I look, someone is boasting about the popular classic 32 oz. Nalgene bottles. So I figured it was time for me to get one. I ordered the 32 oz. wide mouth in grey/black lid.PROS:+ The bottle feels very nice in hand.+ Cap has defined ridges on it for a positive grip when opening or closing.+ I am not terribly rough with it so I can't say for durability for drops and falls. I imagine that at some point if I were careless enough I could break it but the material feels like thick quality plastic that I can't flex. It's very firm.+ I haven't run it through a dishwasher yet but cleaning by hand is a breeze because of the wide mouth.+ Last but not least, it holds liquids well.CONS:None at the moment.Next I will get the same bottle but with the smaller opening. No fault of Nalgene but sometimes I don't want to feel like I am drinking from a bucket with the wide mouth opening. But this is a preference thing. I am definitely glad that I got one of these bottles finally to see why it is so popular. Thank you.EDIT on 5/23/19:So I have been using this bottle for a bit now and I do enjoy it. Recently, I made a major mistake. I filled the bottle all of the way up and capped it and then wanted to give it a cold shot so I put it in the freezer for 10 minutes. Well, I had gotten side tracked and left it in the freezer for over 24 hours. I didn't leave room for expansion during the freezing process. I didn't know what I would find....I took it out and I noticed that it was bulging at the bottom. So basically when I stand it up, it teeters and rolls around and easily wants to tip over. I just left it out to acclimate and I was shocked that within 15 minutes as the ice began to melt, the bottom looked normal again. It is still thawing out but it stands up flat again and seems fine. Hopefully no permanent damage was done (i.e.- more fragile against a drop or fall) Gotta say that I was expecting to have to order another but I'll just hang on to this one for a while longer.

We've had one of these, which I bought at a sporting goods store, for around 10 years now. It is still in perfect condition minus some minimal scuffs from the dishwasher or being inside a backpack. The ones on Amazon are much cheaper and the quality still looks the same. We're glad we made the switch to BPA free years ago. They also make some Nalgene water bottles with different caps and necks, and they have all been wonderful. My favorite for everyday use at work and school are the newer ones that have a screw on top, but the top has a hinge with an arched topper-thing. The top opens up to reveal a hole about the circumference of a nickel, which gives you plenty of water without a lot of spills, makes refilling from a sink or fountain easier, and makes cleaning a breeze compared to the old style water bottles with pull tops w/ dinky holes to drink from, or straws.These are really important since most non-stainless steel water bottles do have BPA, which can cause all kinds of issues, especially with the hormones of children. We stopped storing our food in plastic containers (using glass ones instead), chose these Nalgene and some ,stainless steel water bottles, etc, and have felt much more relaxed for years now. The bonus over stainless steel is that there is no metal taste from the Nalgene bottle.Finally: My favorite about this particular 32 oz size is that you can practically get your hand in there to scrub it out. I can fit it in the top rack of my dishwasher, though I usually hand wash, and I know it will get clean. If there were visible particles inside it, I would be able to see them better than with stainless steel.The con is for those who need a stainless steel bottle while bugging out or something, as a way to boil and therefore purify their water over a fire or stove. These are lighter...and GSI and Oli sell metal camp cups of high quality (with folding handles) that will fit perfectly onto the bottom of this bottle. Those are about $10 and you'd be a lot less likely to burn yourself. With that method, you aren't adding a whole lot of weight if any compared to having a stainless steel bottle of this size...and you have a way to avoid burning yourself.

I carry this every day. This is the best water bottle that I have ever used. It has never leaked and I recommend this to everyone that asks about it for that reason. I am considering purchasing another as a back up. My Fiancee even bought one since I liked mine so much. She bought a smaller one that she can throw in her purse (it also has never leaked in her purse).Function: It serves its intended purpose. It holds water, and it holds it very well. It has never leaked on me. It does sweat, but I expected that. Due to my heavy use of it some of the lettering is coming off, although it is still legible. The stripped texture on the lid is very conductive to grip for tightening or removal. It is easier to wash than many bottles I have. I do have trouble fitting it into some cup holders, but I knew it was a larger bottle.Quality: It feels sturdy and looks sturdy. I have dropped it a few times in the house and on tile with no resulting cracks or marks. I have never dropped it on concrete though. I carry this bottle by the strap that holds the cap on. A few people have mentioned that it broke on them. I have not experienced this. I have clipped it up in my range bag before and it has held up well. The only thing that I want to get to complete this is some sort of insulated carrier for it. Nalgene has some proprietary ones and there are a few universal ones that I am looking into.

Love my water bottle. It's really easy to clean, easy to carry, and makes it really easy to figure out how much water I'm drinking. It's been leak proof and durable, even after dropping it. The size makes it easy to drink two of these a day and have most of my water intake for the day. My husband and I each have two, one for each floor of the house so we can focus on drinking water over soda.

I absolutely love these Nalgene water bottles. Made from firm (just barely flexible) very clear plastic, this water bottle is ideal for the hydration conscious person. The bottle offers no flavor to the water added to it, cleans easy, and thanks to how clear it is, you can easily detect when it is time to clean it. I bought a 32oz/1000ml bottle with a slight dark grey tint, and a black cap with a measuring line on the side, that indicates ml and oz very clearly.Durability: This one I purchased was to replace the one I've used daily for about 4 years. It finally got lost. I've dropped this new one about one million times in month or so I've had it. Once off my bike while I was riding down the street. No real markings to show for it and its still water tight.Lid: supper durable and screws tight easily and stays tight. I use the plastic strap that keeps it locked to the bottle as a sort of clip and link it to my backpack by way of clips all the time.Labeling: just like the picture only mine doesn't say "everyday" on it. I do use it daily, though.Production: Made in the USA all day. Keep the money in the US, keep the economy in the US.Recommendation: Definitely a good buy. It's really just a nice, good looking, boring water bottle that you can rely on for years to come.

I kept buying glass water bottles and then breaking them by mistake. This time around I decided to suck it up and go with plastic. Another thing that had been a priority had been fitting in a cup holder but I also wanted more capacity and I couldn't see to find both, so I went with the larger size. Imagine my delight when I realized this DOES fit in my cupholder! It will fit into the larger size cupholders ONLY, not the standard sized one. So, it doesn't fit in any of the ones in my Prius but does fit in the Mercury Mariner cupholder when you remove the cupholder insert allowing yourself a bit more space. I love the wide mouth on this bottle, too. I didn't want a straw and I always spill on myself so the wide mouth was a must. The other thing that I'm thrilled about is that the bottle seals itself really well so you don't spill water whenever you open it. My prevous bottle dribbled water from the lid everytime I opened it and I just thought I was the reason. Now, I realize that it was never me and it was the bottle all along. As silly as it sounds, this is like a whole new world! I am thrilled by this bottle and would definitely buy it again. It is sturdy, drop-able without being breakable, has a wide opening and BONUS: fits in my large sized cup holders. Tip: the price varies based on the color, so if you don't care about the color but do care about the price click on all of the options before adding to the cart and purchasing.

Now this was the greatest water bottle I ever had, almost. First off the wide mouth was great and made cleaning it easy. Durability was amazing as I used it at work and dropped it from a variety of heights on accident, full or empty and it took the punishment. Only issues I saw was if you are using it outside and the bottle gets a little warm the water might get a plastic taste. Second I would say after researching about “bpa free” bottles I would say today I prefer glass or stainless over BPA any day.

I've had Nalgene bottles for as long as I can recall. I kept one in a backpack while in college. I had one that I kept in the truck with me as I traveled cross-country. I kept one in my "Go" bag along with a few other items.As I write this review, I have this particular bottle sitting here next to me filled partially with an horchata I've been sipping on. I can't believe there are still people out there who have never had a Nalgene bottle. If you've never had one and are looking into the idea, buy it!They are BPA-free and completely safe to drink from. The covers screw on tight and don't ever leak. They are handy to take with you on the go and can fit into any environment where you might want to have something to drink close at hand. Ive never had one break on me and I've dropped many of them from various heights. I tend to lose them or give them to friends who don't have one.

4 years I have been using this bottle and could not ask for more. I use it everyday and not babying it. I dropped it a couple times and still looks like a new one. Very simply, very easy to clean. The 1l capacity is more than enough. There is no smell, not leaking, not to heavy. Most of the time the problem with water bottles is the mold inside the lid. There is none here because there is no rubber involved and how easy to clean keep it clean.This is how we can save the environment, using this bottle and it will last for a lifetime.Absolutely brilliant!There are more Nalgene products available but look for the ones, with this kind if screw lid!
