The silver chain is a nice length and there is also the option of the hand strap which is also suede. I recommend for a low price, decent quality clutch. It's well constructed, and good leather. The problem is that the colour isn't what it looks like in the picture. I tried taking a picture of it with my phone, and got the same results. In the pictures, the bag looks like a brilliant purple, like royal purple. In reality, it's such a deep purple that it's very close to black. I won't bother returning it, it was a good bargain, and I can give it to a friend.
