Very solid performer for a prebuilt
Purchased this computer to replace an aging Alienware prebuilt that I bought a few years ago. The computer arrived in perfect condition. The padding inside the box was excellent and kept everything secure. The computer started right up with no issues and is running exactly as expected. The cable management was professionally routed and looked great. The fans are positioned properly for good airflow (intake on front and exhaust in back). The radiator for the liquid cooler is top mounted, and has a single fan.The i7 9700k performs great, and matched with the liquid cooler it came with, runs at high loads for long periods of time with no heat issues or throttling. The ASUS branded RTX 2080 is awesome and runs all of my games on the highest settings with a 1440p 144hz monitor at 144+ FPS.My variant came with 16GB of DDR4 2666mhz RAM, which I’llprobably be upgrading. Keep in mind, this motherboard only has 2 DIMM slots.I purchased this computer for $1799 which is an absolute steal in this market (video card shortage). If you can pick this up for around the same price as me, you definitely won’t regret it.

DO NOT BUY
For almost $3,000 after taxes it was the worst purchase we have made on Amazon. If you know about the Asus Rog Desktop and have done your research you would know the wires inside are organized since there is a glass see through side panel that allows for a view to the inside. Well....this tower came with the wires everywhere very loosely and were not tucked together at all. It was an eye sore to look at and looked sloppy. Also the wires were rainbow colored but after research online most of them have the blue or black colors for a more modern look especially for the price paid. We did not see any with the rainbow colors ours has. For the amount of money paid for this item it was far too sloppy and ugly inside to be happy with the purchase. Also one of the screws for the glass panel would NOT screw in completely because the metal panel was bent. We DO NOT recommend these desktops at all. Your better off spending your money on a different brand and company. This desktop is NOT worth the amount we paid.

Expensive, i know if i wanted to take the time.. i could have built a better PC for 3k
This runs perfectly no issues at all. The internals are in order no wires hanging out all over the place. The only thing that i am having an issue with is the placement on where you attach in the M.2 SSD drive. There is 2 wires connected on the motherboard that where the M.2 SSD would plug into and laydown (screw into motherboard). I bought a SSD to try out the Hotswap Drive for the SSD. Works great... The side plexiglass? attaches fine. Lights all operational, All front and back fans working. If i had the time, and patience i could have built a desktop that has better specs for 3k with taxes.

don’t do it.
This was a Christmas present to my son. Opened and no hdmi out signal or anything coming out from the computer. Great QC Asus. After contacting manufacturer call center and them telling me to send it back to amazon. Amazon tells me to send it to Asus. So after having to go through 2 managers. I was told I could return it to amazon. But they can’t tell me when I could get a replacement they seemed to have sold out while I was on the phone with customer service. There were 3 in stock. There are still 2 in stock on the website as I write this. Thanks Amazon for your great customer service. I now have an expensive night light for my sons room. Merry Christmas!

Amazing, but not worth the price
I bought the i9 9900k 2080TI Nividia model. It was $3500 after taxes. Everything booted up nice and smooth. After a week I began to regret the purchase because I could get so much more for the same price if I built my own PC. The cooler is a single fan size radiator. The ram looks cheap $20. The wires are a multicolor mess. I would not be happy paying $3500 and getting nothing less then excellent quality. I returned it and bought all my own parts to build, and It will actually look like a $3500 PC. ASUS ROG is still great at components and CPUs, but I’d stay away from not just ASUS, but ALL prebuilt computers.

Not what I expected from Asus
I bought this Asus Gl12 for the Asus name the i7 9700K and the RTX 2080.My sole use was to be running Flight Sim 2020.I was expecting high quality Rog Asus components in a well engineered Asus build. What I received was not what I expected. The motherboard was not like any Asus motherboard I have ever seen had only 2 memory slots so there was no room for expansion. The intake case fan was a single 92mm fan and cooling for the cpu was a single fan AIO.The RTX 2080 was a blower type specifically made for this build, with no Asus markings I could see.The psu was unidentifiable and had industrial multi color wires to the components that were crammed into the case. The components in the ROG Strix computer was not what I expected with and ROG Strix branded computer. Nothing inside the unit looked ROG STRIXAt first the Asus ROG STRIX gl12 seemed to run well. I thought Asus had done some magic to make due with minimum cooling.Wrong.The unit ran very hot. I knew that Flight Simulator was a demanding program, but this Asus Rog Strix was built specifically for gaming? Then it started shutting down mid flight after an hour. This is not a good design and It did not work for my use.The components were not what I expected for an Asus branded ROG Strix product. The RMA process during The Covid 19 shut downs was lengthy. After much effort I returned the computer to the vendor. Not a ROG Strix machine..
