Could you use it to make flapjacks or is it too runny?

Sorry, I've never made flapjacks with it. As you say, It is much runnier than sugar based golden syrup. As it's very low carb - it rather defeats the purpose to make a very high carb flapjack with it. I would advise that you experiment - you could add some powderd erythritol to take up the slack of the syrup.

I think the top was sealed under the lid. But can't remember , sorry
