They must've ramped up production because I'm starting to be able to find the jars of powder locally. I was thrilled to be able to find this product on Amazon where I can take advantage of Prime shipping-- as my local stores aren't carrying the larger value packages yet.Originally we only ate the PB2 by dipping freshly cut fruits (bananas!!!) in the powder, now we've begun turning it into 'peanut butter'. When mixing the product with water it offers a rich peanut taste, and a peanut-butterish consistency (thick though obviously not as oily as oils have been extracted from the product and so a little less dense). I absolutely adore adding a tiny squeeze of syrup or honey to add back in some of the sweetness (though it's great without it). I love eating it on crackers or apples.With less oil and none of the sugar of normal peanut butter this product has less than half the normal calories of an equivalent amount of peanut butter!!!! But with 99.9% of the taste! (Dance). Any peanut butter lover I've given this to so far has adored it and is faced with a challenge ---> If it has less than half the calories should I eat twice as much? Or eat the same amount I usually do -- and benefit from a lower calorie snack? <---The chocolate flavored powder tastes very much like peanut butter to me - and I prefer purchasing the traditional peanut butter flavored powder (I'd eventually like to try some of the widely varying and plentiful recipes available on the BellPlantation PB2 website and I felt the original flavor would be more versatile.). ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ however . . . *by D***R on Reviewed in the United States πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ on March 2, 2014* ok, it's not peanut butter - but really, with 25% of the calories, did you really think it would be?First, be extremely careful when opening the bag - this stuff is like powered gold and you don't want to waste a drop. I use a "canning funnel" and put the contents into 2 regular peanut butter jars and then work from the jars. I also refrigerate the bags until I need them so I don't have to worry about expiration dates - ever.Second, it will taste flat mixed with water. What I do is mix it with Smucker's Sugar-Free Breakfast Syrup; 2 TBL PB2, 1 TBL Syrup.Now it will taste more like regular Peanut Butter and only adds 5 calories. Great on rice cakes or 'whatever' you choose.If you have more room in your daily calories, try mixing it with 1 TBL of your regular Peanut Butter (again adding either syrup or water) and it will taste even better.Not my first order and probably not my last. However I am not a fan of a hundred calories per tbsp. I will use PB in my veggie smoothies to make them palatable or in my home made ice cream. But I won't let myself get the full oil stuff anymore because of all the fat. I figured I'd be down to PB flavored extract when Amazon showed me this.While the PB flavor isn't as strong as the organic stuff in used to, this is more than acceptable. I especially like the fact that I can add a little more water to make a bit more, albeit runny, PB. It also thickens my smoothies, making them more enjoyable. This is now the only but butter in my home.
