I use it when doing that and it makes my hair feel amazing and defines my curls really well. I have 3b/C 4a curls. **Q: is this properly sealed?** A: Yes, received with a protective wrapping. There was no leakage. **Q: Would you recommend this for an oil treatment? What about a prepoo??** A: Yes, it’s PERFECT for a hot oil treatment. Put the oil in a heat-safe plastic bottle or glass container, and then place the container in a pot of hot water for a few minutes. Once it's warm, apply the oil to your scalp and hair from root to tip. **Q: Will this help with irritated scalp?** A: I don't know about irritated scalp but the mint component in it does help soothe the scalp. I have thick below shoulder length relaxed hair that is low porosity. This oil absorbs well and doesn't sit on top of my hair like some heavier oils like Coconut oil. Also it smells like Peppermint, similar to the scent if those starlight Peppermint candy. I love the smell! This oil conditions and nourishes the scalp and seals the cuticles on the hair. I really like using this hair oil, makes my hair smooth and soft.
