Yamaha 61-Key Arranger Keyboard with Premium Sound PSRSX900

I bought this psr-sx900 arranger on amazon warehouse as a used acceptable condition. What a gem of a find! It was not in acceptable condtion, it was in Excellent condition for over 30% off for a new one. Now I have some amazon gift cards I haven't used for a while, and so my total was then basically almost 60% off the new price. This sounds as good as my old tyros 3 but with way newer technology, the keys feel good, the sound is awesome, if you can score a good music keyboard, arranger, or synth on amazon warehouse, do it, the percentage off a new one is absolutely a bargain, i was expecting a banged up instrument, it was barely touched, pristine condition. Thanks amazon will make a lot of years of enjoyable music with this guy! Plus so much lighter than the old tyros saves the back!

Tried to get else where and not available. So a got it cheaper. Really great and the features are fantastic. Been eyeing the Genos 1 and 2. 76 keys is nice but the price is too high. The psr sx 900 is great.

The sound quality is impeccable! (With the exception of the brass instrument sound quality - which still has a way to go.) This is a really capable instrument for creating, accompanying, jamming, fun sounds for storytelling (etc!), is expandable, and has a great variety of musical styles and world instruments! This a an awesome, well equipped instrument!

I currently own the EW410 and DGX660 from Yamaha and I am happy with both. I have wanted something that delivers more realistic voices similar to the Genos and this more than fits the bill. It is a very powerful workstation keyboard with many of the same voices and style that you find in the Genos. My biggest disappointment is with Yamaha's implementation of the B3 Organ Leslie effects. Having owned and played the Hammond B-3 in the 70s and 80s I must say that the organ voices are very good but the Leslie slow and fast speed simulation is very poor, especially when going from slow to fast, no where near realistic. Overall I am very happy with the keyboard and would recommend it to keyboard players. The learning curve for beginners may be a bit much.

Absolutely love this keyboard. Still trying to get used to the pitchbend. I love the touch screen so much. *************3yrs later*********** This keyboard has been the best Yamaha brand I've had. I have owned multiple earlier brands before but hands down this is the best. The quality of sound is off the charts. The touchscreen is still working really well and it has spoiled me. I cannot use other keyboards bcus of this...lol

By the way, I am happy to say it came with the power supply and manual. It sure was not clear that a manual or power supply were part of the package. Also, the $700 upcharge from the sx700 to the sx900 is worth it if you can afford it. Amazon delivered this to the door with a signature required to accept. I was worried about it being outside or delivered to the wrong address. That was perfect with such an expensive electronic item:)

Great piece of gear this thing does everything and sounds great. The color touchscreen is awesome and the way to go. Spend the extra money you will thanks me! A+++++++

I had two earlier versions of this instrument that I was satisfied with. Bought this one because my cat destroyed the older one and have had it for a little over a year. The sound is generally good but it is hard to use. Many of the voices are weird and a lot of the prerecorded styles are quite strange like oberkrainer waltzes and polkas and a lot of schlager styles. Maybe if you are German they would get some use. Even pop and rock styles are not nearly as good as on the older machines. Multi track recording is a chore. Really helps if you spring for a dedicated laptop to go with it. I love my Clavvnova but I think I will donate this to a charity and look for something better

I ordered this and within 5 days reached my home. Inside the box there is keyboard , adaptor and notation stand and absolutely no paperwork like manuals etc. However manuals can be downloaded online. The keyboard build is superb, sturdy and does not resemble those cheap yamaha low priced keyboards. Buttons and knobs are of good quality. The LCD TOUCH SCREEN is bright and crisp. The touch os is absolutely spot on but the touch response could have been a tad bit better. As per as the button layout goes, its quite intuitive and exactly as needed. There are lot of customizations options specially the assignable buttons and which gives you quick access to many stuff like the mixer, voice setup or channel on off. There are tons of hIdden options for which you need to read the manual. Regarding the voices ... They are good specially super articulation samples and there are truckload of features to tweak them as per your need. The styles are good and additional styles can be created or downloaded as part of expansion packs. Styles should have been more. However Genos or tyros styles , tones, registration bank info works great in sx 900. Speakers are great but it could have been louder. Casio ctx 9000 speakers may not sound this rich but are very loud. So such an expensive instrument should have more powerful speakers. Bluetooth connectivity is good and great for playing with karaoke tracks. You will need to watch tutorial videos for better understanding of the features. To sum up great sounds, good styles, features good, speakers avg.

This is my second Yamaha keyboard after PSR 550. As expected this keyboard is fully professional one with pack of advance features. But not easy for the beginners to commend over it's features within a short time. I love it though it lacks Indian styles. The expansion pack for Indian styles downloaded from Yamaha online also missing the true flavour of current Indian styles.

I mean at this price, you most probably will know what it can and cannot do already! Raj musical sold it at Rs.1000/- less than Amazon. But, since I trust Amazon if I ever needed to return it, I took the bet and buy it from here instead. The local stores in my state sell it at an extra 10-20k more!!! Can you believe that??? And Yamaha official site also sells it at above Rs. 5000 more than Amazon or other online sellers. If you absolutely need warantee , then the best thing to do is buy from authorised dealers. But, in some states like mine, there aren't true genuine dealers, they're just another retailers. You may get some discount for the repairing job but there's practically no difference when it comes to buying the parts or whatever if there is a need for that. So, I don't see real difference between buying online and buying from local store if it arrives in a good condition. Amazon selling it at a competitive price is good for customers like me who can barely afford the keyboard. It would've been even better if there was a battery capability like the CK series. As someone who's rather bit of a freeloader, I search for free styles and voices immediately. Other than the ones available on Yamaha website, it's rather a closed affair when it comes to free stuffs.... difficult to find really which is a bummer. Yamaha makes it difficult to share the voices which is a shame really.. It's what they should do on their part but a little bit like android freedom when it comes to sharing would be even more fabulous for the customers. Different strokes for different folks. I was torn between the dgx 670 and this one as I wanted a piano experience but my decision came down to this keyboard being available on Amazon.
