I bought this item when my hot water heater failed. I brought an induction hot-plate into my bathroom and simply filled a large, clean container with warm water, dropped in the pump and showered! And so versatile!... I had a bad leak in a kitchen faucet. To keep the kitchen functioning until I could make full repairs, the leak was being caught in a large container. I was doing a LOT of bailing. That got old fast! This little pump came to my rescue! The pump can handle just about any small pumping (or bailing) job, or liquid transfer. It is incredibly small and light, and easy to charge and use. With a flow rate of just under 1 GPM and a pressure of maybe just under 1/2 PSI , you're not going to power wash your deck with it, but it worked great for the kind of chores I've described. Run time is truly impressive. I've put at least 50 gallons through it and the battery still shows no sign of weakening. I'm still running on the first of two included rechargeable batteries. Like ANY pump, it can cavitate (push the air initially in it around in circles, instead of move the liquid), especially if the source reservoir is shallow, so you may have to turn it on its side to get the air out, and it helps to start with the outlet down near the liquid level until liquid flow starts (which you will feel and hear). But possible cavitation is common to most any rotary pump, it is not a design flaw.
