Flip 5 Portable Bluetooth Speaker - Ocean Blue (JBLFLIP5BLUAM) (Renewed)

My 10 year old purchased this himself with his hard earned money (he and one of his brothers work with a landscaper one day a week). He tracked this package all day and was as excited as Christmas morning when it arrived. I did not realize that it’s refurbished (he probably didn’t either) but the sound quality seems to be spot on. We have several JBL speakers among our family and the quality is top notch. He absolutely loves the color and after fully charging the speaker, he hooked it up to his mp3 player (no phones for my kids) and attached it to our 4 wheeler with a bungee cord and away he went into our woods. Hopefully the battery stays strong because this was a good chunk of change for a young boy. He is thrilled that it’s waterproof because he can “even use it in the rain”.

JBL - the only Bluetooth I buy. And as usual, it performs as expected. Always pleased by this product. Love, love, love!

Can’t stop, won’t stop using this! I have had this in my cart for over a year and finally ordered it. It was delivered early (yay!), just an hour before leaving for vacation today. I’ve had yacht rock playing on this thing for hours now and no sign of a low battery. The sound is top quality - so much better than my cheap Bluetooth speaker. My kids love feeling the vibrations on the ends! It’s actually really cool to watch the logo shake. We don’t have the volume up very high (maybe a third of the way up) and it carries nicely. I can’t image how loud it must actually get, but we’ll test that when we get home lol. I can’t wait to bring this little powerhouse to the beach. My only regret is waiting so long to order this! The color blue is absolutely awesome. Why are you still reading this? Order now!

The box was a little scratched up, but nothing to bad.It arrived with no impairment and no marks, like new.The sound is clear and full, and it can get loud (I usually play at 25-40% Max).I did some testing, against some other Bluetooth speakers I have used previously. It had much more dynamic range and better base than the Bose Soundlink Color as well as the Ultimate Ears MegaBoom 2 which is much bigger than the Flip 5 although older. (I had people listen with their backs turned and asked which were better). It is about the size of a 20 ounce, and can fit in my bikes water bottle holder. I have never had any connection issues or interruptions. There is some latency which can make it hard to watch videos. The range is good where I feel confident I can take it to the other side of the house throw it out the window and it would still be connected and playing. The body feels solid and durable. I have taken it into the shower a couple times as well as use it nearly every day and it still holds up well.Pros:-Sounds Great-Durable-Good Battery lifeCons:- Latency (not super noticeable, but may be annoying too some)

This is a high quality speaker for the price. If you're looking for a speaker with high quality sound that is meant for a small space, it's a great bet. It works well for smaller outdoor spaces as well if you are having a small gathering with friends or family. It has a surprising amount of bass capability for a speaker so small. It also pretty painlessly connects via bluetooth. Other speakers have been headaches to me, this one connects instantly with no fuss.I bought it refurbished and I can't tell at all.

I simply lve JBL speaker line. The sund quality is always great! if you can get one that has bass in it get it! because it is nice and loud. the battery life as well suprises me. it does take a litte while to charge from zero but ounce charged ive noticed that it lasts me for days, especially when i dont use it every day. one neat feature these JBL FLIP line has is that in the newer models, like this one, you can link up multipleJBL speakers together to play the same audio sound,so you get this massive audio experience. That feature works,OK for me, i have a JBL charge 5, and hooked them up together and the sound comes through ok but! the bluetooth signal will mess up randomly and wont play the audio in one speaker but only the other? it does this randomly so maybe its just a singal issue? like something in the way of the bluetooth signal? thats my best guess. anyways! i cant recommend this speaker and the line in general,if you are in the need of a portable speaker. also its waterproof! love using mine in the shower. My only real gripe is the price! they r supe expensive line of speakers! So definitely buy when on sale!

Purchased this renewed by Amazon and it works perfectly well. The sound is better than I expected for the size and the 20w.

The quality and connectivity of the speaker are both great. What pushed me to write this review though is the JBL’s durability. I had left this speaker in the back of a beach chair where it sat in rain water for approximately 2 months. I removed it, dried the algae that had grown around it, cleaned and let dry for approximately a week. Plugged it in & it connected to my phone like nothing ever happened. Truly a waterproof speaker.

This speaker exceeded my expectations it has very nice sound quality and it gets very loud the bass is amazing if you play songs like aqua drop on full volume it will fall over

Very nice speaker

Fantastic item.

I love this Jbl 5 flip I recommend
