Review: Great flavour, economical, no mess. - I'm a recent convert to the joys of an espresso machine. I love good coffee but find using ground coffee in the machine a bit messy in the kitchen. I decided to try these ese pods. They are perfect for me. No measuring, no mess and they go in the compost. Before purchase I looked at some reviews, Black Donkey came out with top marks in one of the newspapers. I have tried some very expensive high end pods but I can taste little difference to these.

**Q: Do these fit smeg**
A: The teabag like sachets are forty four mm diameter and 5 mm thick. Each foil packet contains one item so are fresh to go straight into a maker. I use them in a Breville.

**Q: I have delonghi dedica machine should i use 1 or 2 cup button. I assume the volume of water throughput would be dobube with the 2 cup?**
A: One cup.
I find the black donkey coffee quite weak.

**Q: Is this 'decaffeinated' coffee. decaf on box xx**
A: Mine isn't - just two different types of caffeinated coffee.

**Q: Can these be used on a tassimo machine ??**
A: I'm pretty sure they can't Emma. Tassimo machines take plastic cup - type pods whereas these are paper ESE pods.

I am disappointed as 50% of all the pods I have opened is not brewing coffee. Water going through them and coffee doesn't brew(water is clear in colour or barely tinted) I don't know what is wrong with them as some brew just normal. I wouldn't recommend those pods to anybody.
