As of today, it’s been 10 days since it was delivered, and it still looks absolutely beautiful—green, vibrant, and full of life. Have wanted a gardenia for so many years so thought I'd try. The plant arrived and bloomed and smelled sooo good. Sadly in the past 7-10 days all the leaves have wilted, some turned brown and are falling off. Yes I water it weekly and just purchased a water meter which says it's at level 5. I'm sure it's something I have not done that the plant needed but don't know what :( I so wanted this plant to survive. It is kept indoors since I live in northern PA and I know winters here would be too cold for it to survive outside. Suggestions please because I'd like to purchase another one but need to know what I did wrong. Thanks

Plant came packaged perfectly,is a beautiful plant

I am so happy with my purchase of the Perfect Plants Frostproof Gardenia 1 gallon live plant! It was packaged securely inside a durable bag with bamboo, paper wrapped around the base and a zip tie to keep it all in place. The shipping box provided excellent protection and the handles made it easy to lift and carry. The plant was very healthy - shiny green leaves, blooms ready to pop, moist soil. No bugs, no yellowing or wilting. I can't wait to get it in the ground and buy more!! (I was so excited upon arrival, I forgot to take packaged pics, sorry!)

At a first glance what appears to be an almost perfect plant (lots of yellow leaves, not happy!) arrived with a broken branch. I have contacted the seller, Perfect Plants, on their website. I am concerned that after the stress of traveling, the resultant physical injury of its damaged and broken off branch is going to leave this gardenia susceptible to pests or diseases. I put the broken branch into some water. I've never owned a gardenia; was very excited about receiving this one so it's not a great way to start. I hope that Perfect Plants has good customer service regarding this matter or that Amazon will respond and make this right. (Delivered July 31, 2023) Update: August 21, 2023 Neither Amazon nor Perfect Plants contacted me when I asked for support. Almost a month later the plant is still alive, the yellowed leaves have mostly fallen off and it looks healthier but still has no blooms. I will update later if anything changes. See two last photos for current status as of August 13, 2023, to compare. UPDATE: September 9, 2023 Plant is thriving. Thinking that I'd like to order another one since they are evergreen in winter. RECOMMEND

Ve had this plant for 3 years and it arrived healthy, green and growing. I wanted it to be an outside plant so I re-potted it in a lager pot and feed and watered it. The first year, no blooms but I thought “okay, some plants dont produce the first year”, so I waited. Year two, still not blooming. At the most, I had less than 1/2 dozen buds and maybe two actual blooms that were tiny. Sooo…I really LOVE gardenias and have wanted one so bad (I had to downsize in ‘20 and my house had HUGE gardenia bushes under the windows in the den, the smell was heavenly!) i decided I would try planting it in the ground. So year three it was planted in my back garden and STILL failed. Maybe a hopeful bud or two but no flowers. I give up! It’s still alive but thats about all I can say for it.
