The concept is good but may not be as strong as it should be..........

Simple and effective. Exactly what I was looking for at a reasonable price. This float valve was used in my gravity based irrigation system and did not pose a single problem from installation to the end of the growing season. If I need any more float valves, this will be the one I purchase.

fitting is weak and leaks

This is designed to keep your pets watering dish full at all times, even when you're away. Everything necessary to install this on watering trough, barrel whatever is included so less trouble for you when you have 15 minutes or so to install it. Ordinary garden hose connects to water mains.

Great idea and good design but made with poor quality material. Worked fine for about three days then threads started cracking and valve started leaking by. Had to remove from bucket.

I tried out a few float valves before settings on this one. I have had one going for over a year now keeping a drum filled with water and it still works like the day I got it.

Awesome.. we have a small goat operation (40 head). But with this product, a five gallon bucket is is plenty to keep the herd happy even on the hottest days.

I've been using this unit on a 5 gal bucket to water my automatic chicken nipples and it has been working all summer long flawlessly
