BOSCH SP0F000050 Style Line 2" Mechanical Vacuum/Boost Gauge (Black Dial Face, Black Bezel)

I bought this Bosch mechanical vacuum/boost gauge for my truck because I wanted a simple, reliable way to monitor boost without overcomplicating the setup. It does exactly what I needed it to do. The gauge has a clean look, the black face and bezel blend in well, and it is easy to read at a glance. I like mechanical gauges for certain things because they are straightforward, responsive, and do not require a bunch of extra electronics to tell me what the engine is already doing. Installation was manageable, and once hooked up, it worked like it should. It gives me useful boost information while driving, especially on grades, under load, or when I just want to keep an eye on how the truck is behaving. It is not some flashy high-end gauge, but that is fine. It is simple, functional, and looks right. For a basic vacuum/boost gauge, this is a solid choice.

Installed on my son’s 1984 Mercedes 300D and works perfect. Needle is bright and easy to read against the black background. The line sent with it was too short so we had to add some but that wasn’t bad. Would definitely recommend

Worked well for my backhoe. Plumbed into intake elbow by drilling and tapping to add an npt compression fitting.

It did the job. If you know your way around your car it should be a very easy install. Nothing fancy. Wired it up to my headlights. Turns on whenever i turn on my headlights. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is that it rattles from time to time. And I feel like the light should be a little brighter. All in all its worth the money.

Good gauge but it has no means to zero it. mine came with 1 PSI off from zero on the dial. Otherwise it works fine. The tube that comes with it of course is too short (just like all other products sold). The base that holds it is junk from an aesthetics point of view.

I installed this on my 1996 K2500 6.5 diesel. It's great, especially for the price. Only problem I encountered is that they are stingy with the included roll of tubing and on my truck it is stretched tight to reach from the intake plenum, through the firewall to the dash. I like that the backlighting on this one is incandescent rather than LED so it can be dimmed. I spliced the backlight wire into the dimmer wire that goes to the radio and it works well, not too bright at night like some aftermarket stuff. The black face blends nicely with the dash, and the Bosch name looks cool even if it is made in China.

Love this gauge, previously I had the VDO and where the VDO was quite slow to react this one is spot on, you can see avery movement of the throttle in the needle. It does not suffer from any sort of vacuum or boost sputter as some other gauges do, which is the typical vibration of the tip of the pointer needle which then requires an actuator or muffler to soften. Mine is installed on a Volvo V50 with 2.5L Turbo Engine.

The item arrived with parts missing & obvious signs that item had previously been fitted. Disappointing.

Mounted and connected properly it is a great simple boost gauge especially for the price. Did not encounter any rattling or vibration issues as others have described.

Had this boost gauge in the car for about 2 years. Its still going good with no issues. The way it lights up is not great but at the price point you cant expect too much. No exotic materials just a simple gauge that does exactly what its supposed to do.

Came stuck at 3psi. Assumed it just was off a bit so installed it anyways. Needle doesn't move at all. No good.
