Fancy, beautiful, functional. These make my cappuccinos look as good as they taste. They are beautiful and so nice. They are smaller than most coffee “mugs,” so definitely know what size you need. I love these.

Five stars for quality, elegance, and design. I bought this set together with the Cappuccino set (8 oz.) because I wasn't sure how big they really were in real life. I am used to drinking coffee from a large mug the kind that needs two hands to carry it. Now I have my amazing Jura coffee maker and wanted something elegant that goes with it. Something transparent that shows the latte macchiato. Although this one is much smaller than my huge mug, I am really happy with it for one reason: I am not drinking the standard coffee with milk and sugar as I used to do for ages. I am now into gourmet style coffee drinking. For those who are interested in measurements, the cup is about 4-1/4 inches high and 3-1/2 inches diameter on top and about 2-1/4 inches at the bottom. And the size is perfect for my needs. As I said, five stars because the glass is really thick, the shape is beautiful, and the removable handle is a nice piece of art. Update 2/18/2013: Although the handle can be removed, you should not do that. I put the glass with its handle attached in the dishwasher. If you start removing and putting the handle back with every wash you will end up with a handle that will become loose and will not be able to hold the cup.

We used these glasses at our rented vacation house in North Carolina and absolutely loved the size and look of the glasses! Typically glasses like these are great for juice, tea, or in our case Kiefer water. You can use this hot or cold!

The band on the bottom is a bit loose but as long as you don't wiggle violently while drinking coffee, that's not a large issue. I personally very rarely find myself oscillating while drinking coffee, and when I do it's usually at more of a hum than a shake. Higher frequency oscillations don't move the glass as much. I haven't been able to consume enough caffeine to approach the harmonic resonant frequency of this mug, mostly because I start to hallucinate that I'm Archduke Ferdinand (these are very fancy cups indeed) and I start dodging bullets like Neo. So far I haven't spilled a drop. The only criticism is that with these cups I have to always refill my coffee over and over because my gargantuan American coffee appetite is difficult to sate 10 fluid ounces at a time. This cup is the actual size of the cups that my coffee maker says. I know I drink three cups in the morning but now it's so much work. Always standing and sitting, what am I? Some sort of standy / sitty machine? Now if you'll excuse me I have just found the harmonic frequency of my chair and I am slowly buzzing downhill away from the keyboafc

Make sure you read the reviews about the metal base before purchasing! I did, and I carefully inspected each of the bases as soon as I got them. They arrived packed well and in perfect condition. The metal ring is designed to slide off, and after some cautious testing I noticed that some of the rings were looser than others, making it easier for them to pop off. Luckily, as I was prepared for this. I had already purchased a tube of Dap 00688 adhesive, and cleaned and glued them on firmly before doing anything else. The adhesive is clear and dishwasher safe, which worked out perfect for it. I just wiped the excess epoxy off before it set and you can't even tell it's there. The glasses themselves are gorgeous. Beautiful design, smooth rim, flawless glass, and a comfortable, unique handle.

I stumbled upon these just as I was about to order a different set of glass mugs that looked like all the others. Love the stainless steel handle, which to me makes them stand out and look more elegant. Handles are removable, by the way. They are not double walled, but after reading reviews of double walled products leaking or being cheap looking, I was thrilled to find these. They are perfect for my morning cappuccino!
