La Bella S942 Double Ball System Extra Light - Stainless Steel Electric Guitar String 9-42

Put these on my Steinberger Spirit GT Pro months ago, and they're still bright and zingy. String length is spot on. I've been thinking about switching to 9s, and I'll definitely use the same strings in that gauge.

I was using Music Yo 9s for years, just recently made a Spirit my main guitar due to space constraints, and the La Bella 10s are far better. More bendy, nice strong ringing tones. Excellent. One thing, though, is that the end-windings are different lengths on some strings and if you use a longer one at the head it could reach the top fret, so it's not just the string on the fret but the winding itself. Finally, nothing to do with the strings but I saw a recommendation somewhere to replace the Teflon washers on the tuning knobs with ball bearings, and these are great. So easy to turn. Well if you need inexpensive double ball wins this is what you need the low e was a little short it seemed but it's enough to get underneath the bridge so that it tunes they work fine. I prefer Dean markley Blue steel but 9 through 42 is hard to get these days and of course only one ball but I wound up getting the Jcustom dual mode headpiece so I can use my good strings next time

Good strings for Steinberger. Seller, however, sent two of the wrong size (ordered 9-46 and 2 of the 3 I ordered were 9-42). Contacted seller and no response.

After just a week the g string (ha ha) started unraveling. I wouldn't mind the price so much if he quality was present. I suggest taking a soldering iron and placing a few thin lines on the bad windings for at least some durability. $30+ strings should not be this inferior....We as the purchasers shouldn't have to finish the quality control- I'm indeed saying!

Excellent strings, worth spending a little more, they definitely sound better than cheaper brands. I use them on a Hohner G2T, which is my travel guitar.
